Prometheus, What is it and where does it belong?

Just found this video on the latest movie from Ridley Scott..and we all know its name..

Prometheus.

This is an interesting video as it covers (mostly in pictures) a lot of possible links as to how much truth there may be in the film. Ridley says he is 'walking around the truth'..
The video shows you lots of 'evidence' that we have discussed so many times here on ATS, but where on ATS, and in our daily lives, does this entire episode fit in?

Should this thread be in the Aliens and UFO's forum, (self explanatory)
or,
New world order forum (due to possible links with elite)
or
Ancient and lost civilizations (our links to our past and what weve forgotten or not being told)
or,
General conspiracies (just because)
or,
Space exploration (sseing as most of the movie and our history points to the stars)
or,
Consipricies in Religion (due to what we're told to believe to cover the truth)
or,
Origins and Creationism (seeing as the movie is about our possible origins as well as what is being shown as evidenceto support our stellar origins rather than being created here on Earth originally.)
or
Fantasy and science fiction (there's always going to be one who thinks it's all hogwash)
or,
Predictions and prophecies (is this all about anidea being pushed as a prediction of our future?)
or,
Secret societies (we're not being told the full story so that we can be ruled over and enslaved)
or,
any other forum you feel it could also fit into.. There seems to be so much being said behind the entire idea of this movie and all that we've discussed in all of the forums mentioned above.

The biggest thing for me is the Mars link with the plaidies star system.. then we have the Pyramids and various other structures around the Earth that we've "dated" (deliberately) wrong.

The video posted above will possibly need to be watched a couple of times and even paused in order to read all the text shown as it appears to be a montage of material that could readily be found almost anywhere on the net, but especially here on ATS..
You never know, you might see something you've created

I find this entire topic highly interesting as it touches on so much, yet can we really say that we are any closer to an answer to many of our questions about who we are, where we are from and what's next?

Even if we did find out we were from another plabnet, we are still left with the question of where were we before then? What were we? How sis we 'become'?.

Could mean a few things,nice and ambiguous,good man-after all he won't want to reveal too much about the movie before its out.

No spilers as far as I can tell, it's the trailor.. nothing specific being revealed.. no key points as such.

I've thought about this subject numerous times, now considering that the different ancient civilizations all point to different constellations and that there are a number of different races of people on this planet, shouldn't we consider the possibility that all races of people are from different constellations, and that maybe we were all sent here to this planet by our respective ancestors as a means of learning about the different peoples throughout our little corner of the galaxy. Consider the possibility that earth is similar to what in star trek movie part five I think it was, was nimbus 5 the so called planet of galactic peace, a planet where all races of people were welcome to go to, a way to see if multiple races could possibly live on one planet together and possibly be at peace with each other.

Very good idea... a bit like the colonization of north America..

It's possible that various races came here with very similar ideas, technology, origins etc...
It could explain our physical differences, our "royal" families (blood lines) and how we've somehow seperated into the war like creatures we are today.. all out to better ourselves and sod everyone else.. We've fallen from grace, so to speak.

Perhaps the links to different star systems goes even further back into our history than we're currently seeing.. maybe we've had to move from one place to another before coming here.. Maybe we're still out there as well.

We may be the remains of settlers who once lived on Mars until forced to come here

so many possibilities ...

Yes, it could belong in the Movies forum and nowhere else.

but look at what Dan Brown did with 'the Davinci code'...
Was it factual? Was it fiction or a mix of both..

smoke and mirrors in a lot of things.
Perhaps Dan and Ridley have a grip on some form of truth and have mixed insome fiction to make a movie, if so, what's the truth?

You know what, true or not who ever that guy is who done the work is a genius,

Just glad we have people out there who think like this and follow it up with some work & evidence to support the theory, impressive how the star charts line up,

I don't know what it is but something tells me we are looking in the right direction to better understand our true history, i like the idea that were different and was bought here, maybe bought here as a small minority's from our true planet that had its own catastrophe by the galactic federation, i find it funny how we all live on the same planet in similar climates yet we have some obvious differences, i don't see how the sun was ever hot enough on the equator to make black people that black when we have arabs who live in hotter climates and are not as dark, what about the Chinese, there eyes would suggest there eyes evolved under different Sun/light conditions, as we naturally do that when its very bright out, or perhaps white out conditions?, we all experiences the same whether condition on this planet, there is no way we could have evolved differently unless on a different world,

I find it funny how a lot of these movies that are 'revelational' use a lot of study to make it look factual to a point.
If we all (I mean schooling, science and historical bodies) actually took the same approach as a film maker does then maybe w emight have some more definite answers.

People like Erich von Daniken who write a book and suddenly they are one of the most well known people on the planet.. you don't hear about famous historians or scientists etc. in the same manner..

I love that movies such as Prometheus open up new ideas to folks who may not have thought of such things,but the downside is that some folks will say "ah its a movie,you believe movies are real? you wacko.."
whenever the "ancient aliens" topic is mentioned...
Or others will say Ridley is a part of the NWO,telling us what will be.

I don't buy that-Ridley is a visionary who may predict elements of our future through creative film making,but I very much doubt he "works for TPTB"

The worry is that governments of the future may look as his work as a handbook,like some of today do with 1984 IMO.

Exactly why it could be difficult to place this movie in a specific forum. Especially if there is anything factual in it.
It could be discussed in so many ways that it makes your mind boggle a bit.

For example, the idea that we originate from another planet.. could that harm/destroy current religious ideas about us being 'created' here on Earth after it was created as well...

Do all of the ancient buildings (pyramids etc) really have any significance to our place in the universe? Are they the proof we've always wanted staring us in the face..

It's a film about so many things. You could call it sci-fi fantasy.. but with portions of fact thrown in is it any longer sci-fi?

Ah, but.. Are we seeing a movie or a message?
Almost every movie that has ever been made has had some form of message or meaning to it.
Many are flights of fancy, but what if a specific few, like Prometheus or stargate, for examples, actually have some factual substance behind them that is being fed to the public in a way that no other format (MSM) would allow.

An opposite to this example wouyld be something like the film 'Independence day'.. we see lots of aliens and their shielded ships visitng Earth, only for them to almost wipe us out..
That there, as many have said here on ATS, is a message of "yes there are aliens, but we're gonna make you so afraid of them that the truth wont be allowed out for generations to come".
Could such films be a method of stopping us from trying to make contact or even making the alien subject an almost taboo topic?

so, we can talk about life on other planets, with the possibility that we came from another planet, but you can't mention another species visiting Earth because it'll upset the system, especially the religious systems..
