Random mall shooting in Toronto 1 dead several in critical condition including pregnant women

Because of the recent unexplained surge in violence within North America,I thought this relevant, there is no cannibalism, however this individual allegedly pulled out a handgun and opened up on male and female alike.
I cant see this being a gangland shooting ,there just seems to be no intended target,just excessive random violence in probably one of the busiest shopping malls North America ,on a Saturday ?I don't think even Random describes this ordeal.
Some may disregard this as nothing more than a nut going berserk but this seems to be a first for this level of violence as far back as I can remember,there have been other events similar to this but there was an intended target or it was gangland.
