Compiled List of People-Eating-People Events

I've posted this thought on another thread but.... bathsalts as a drug have been around for like 2 years now or so (could be off a little on the time) - why hasn't this 'humans eating humans' thing happened earlier then if that's the reason? Why just NOW?

I do NOT believe the /zombie/ aspect of it at all. But there is something serious going on. News traveling fast with coincidential things? A drug other than 'bathsalts'?

Interesting anyway. Still not sure if I should trust the gov't if/when they tell us what it IS.



Friend and I were musing if THIS could be a form of blue beam xD
We're all curious what's going on as a whole though. Time will tell for sure. But as my friend said, zombies can't be it: you can't try and convict zombies in court.

I read somewhere that someone was blaming it on the fact that these bath salts are coming out of China now, and the chemical formula may have been altered in some way. Could just be anti-Chinese propaganda, but you know what they did with pet treats, right?

I just red the headlines to the stories...(not the majority of the content)...and I am really upset by all of this...as I know many, many members of ATS are too.

I can find no humor in any of this at all.

The fact that it is happening a lot lately...makes me wonder...why? Also...lately there is a lot of increased gun violence.

If I'm not mistaken- the bath salts drug was originally available in stores- and then they had to ban it which probably lead to haphazardly created blackmarket products. But I really don't believe the bath salts angle- as it doesn't explain the other events.

Zombies aren't completely unrealistic, but they are if you define them by movies & TV.

Just look up nodding disease. Plus NATGEO posted a while ago that it could be made creating a concoction of several viruses. And they also created a aggression virus for mice.. that may eventually work on humans

Plus with a scientific community that is willing to make human/animal hybrids, a creation of a zombie-like virus does not sound far fetched to me.

that's true. I forgot about Noddings Disease et al. But yes, definitely not zombies in the movie/book/walking dead sort of way, no. But SOMETHING is definitely turning some humans feral, if that's a good word for it.

And a feral human to me is MUCH more alarm causing than any 'normal minded' human who does bad things if that makes sense.

Nothing else in the news today as of yet. I hope THAT trend continues for life to be honest. What a horrific way to go for the victim; what a horrific thing to 'come back to Earth' to and realize you (The perpetrator) just ATE one of your own.

Man, I will put it right here right now.

Aside from being stranded on a bad plane crash with my other soccer team mates on a remote freezing mountain where help just may not find us ever and my fellow teammates were dying and they offered us to eat them to LIVE, I'm SO not ever seeing myself get a taste for longpork. Nope. NOPE. Even then, I'd not get a taste for it and would probably need severe counseling for life and beyond, into my next 5 reincarnations to get OVER that fact I ate a few pieces of Johnny to survive.

Many heinous crimes dont make it to the main stream media. My moms friend is a police officer, and he told me, that a lot of the calls he responds to involving murder (lots of people get killed in our area, especially in our ZIP code), dont make the news, simply because theyre too horrifying, and for the news to constantly display the gruesome side of human nature, is just too depressing, and disgusting.

Also, with so many people posting about zombies, I have to say a few things. Zombies do not just mean 'the undead' or the 'walking dead', in my opinion of course.

From what I heard from my friends, they include those who had lost all ability to reason, those who grow mad with rage or unbridled emotion, and those who have contracted rabies or taken mind altering drugs to be considered zombies.

Of course, with their theories, I can't help but immediately think of the Rage-Creatures from 28 Weeks Later. After all, they weren't really zombies. They were still alive, their minds were just altered to their primal and violent instincts. They could be killed by gas, be put down by bullets that weren't just aimed at the head, and reason in their minds enough to travel in packs.

Of course, this is just my theory. Perhaps this issue is not a 'walking dead' issue at all. Of course, even this theory seems to still cause apprehension and questioning in my mind. It's just a theory that is bouncing around my personal group.
