This Is How Politicians Will Turn the United States into a Third World Country

They will be. Just their mere existence and lack of political participation over the past several decades, along with an ever so willing media to push whatever "cool" and popular agenda is.

It matters not if a politician proclaims they are a Republican or Democrat -- or even an Independent (especially as the popularity of the movement gains ground). They will continue their rampage and quest for more power, more money and more control.

They will nickle and dime everything while paying lip service to those calling for a reduction of Government "services". Toothbrushes handed out by dentists to patients; tax em!, "forgetting" to inform the tax paying public of tax changes; hit them with a retro-active tax!, crush free market spirits in the name of "safety", demand more and provide less; the past 6 or so year and much longer than that!

The day has come where all walks of life in the political spectrum let go of their ideology for just a moment and stop fighting for each other and actually regain their inherent political power back from the power brokers. To begin to rout out those that seek only to gain a minute of fame and fortune while we struggle to pay our basic bills: electricity, food, transportation, and shelter.

It is time to stop thinking that a 15 second sound-bite about how Representative Joe-Schmoo is going to fight waste...and it doesn't happen. To fight the incessant calls that the defense labelled budgets are untouchable. To fight that the Government should be the sole-arbitrary of who lives and who dies (both in the business battlefield and in life.)

But keep it up ATS. Keep posting how the Left will do this and destroy us....or how the Right will do this and destroy us. The power-brokers are all laughing.

You're about 12 years too late to blow any whistles on the gov. This country is run by the corporations and the politicians they have in their pockets.

No they will do it by importing third worlders.........hence mass immigration.Thats the plan.

It is much later than 12 years. But I guess whats another 12 years of brushing off the total consolidation of power in the United States and chalking it up to being too late.

I don't believe that the U.S. will ever be considered a third world country; however, I do believe that the the limited democracy will eventually turn to some form of Marxism or Communism IF the Jersey Shore/Burger King generation doesn't wake up soon.

No government ever stays stagnant which is why the people must, should have rather, stay vigilant. The fore fathers of America even knew this which is why there are quotes that pertain to the very predicament the U.S. is in today.
