I'm with you on this.
Not sure about the historical era but to me it resembles a central platform for holding meetings or
religious sermons/practices.

All the good jokes are taken already. I'll have to be serious I guess.

These scientists must know more about what's down there if they are determined to actually dive down there. Maybe they saw heat signatures or something more we're not seeing in the public images.

If all of us think it's a fool's errand & scientists don't, then we must not have all the data.

Im sure most people remember when this story first came to light, sometime last year the year before. Well now scientists are going to go see what is, beginning June 1st.
Who wants to guess what it is that theyll find?.
Im going for some type of rock formation, the obvious choice I suppose.

btw, I debated with myself over which forum to place this in, conspiracy, fragile earth or here and since it does mention "UFO"

Swedish scientists plan to explore a mystery ripped straight from the “The X-Files.” Rather than Mulder and Scully, this adventure features Swedish researchers Peter Lindberg and Dennis Asberg. They too know the truth is out there -- and in mere days plan to visit what they call the “Baltic Anomaly.” Last summer, while on a treasure hunt between Sweden and Finland, the pair and their research associates made headlines worldwide with the discovery of a 200-foot wide unidentified object at the bottom of the Baltic Sea. Now a team of oceanographers, engineers and deep sea divers will return to the site Friday, June 1, for a 6 to 10 day trip. They want to find out once and for all what it really is. “We don’t know whether it is a natural phenomenon, or an object,” Lindberg, captain of the Ocean Explorer, told FoxNews.com. “We saw it on sonar when we were searching for a wreck from World War I. This circular object just turned up on the monitor.” Read more: www.foxnews.com...

The problem is all thru out Scandinavia and the British Isles , UFO hysteria has gone bonkers. Everyday someone is reporting a UFO or an alien abduction,,,everyday.

To assume this image has to do with aliens , and make a movie trailer depicting a flying saucer, is way premature.

A bit desperate if you ask me.

At the same time a rock formation would be just as interesting to scientists. I was under the impression that this was determined or thought to be an old Russian boat or something of the like a month or so after the story broke. Anyone remember that?

Either way, well find out soon enough.
But I really dont think that the scientist would bother going down there if they thought it was just some sunken boat.

That's interesting. I do remember hearing about this some time ago. But technically, it would be considered a USO (Unidentified Submerged Object).

Sadly, it will probably end up being a geological structure of some sort.

Or it could be part of Atlantis. Or a secret hideaway for a school (coven, harem, etc.) of Mermaids. Because that would be pretty awesome too.

Unless the Russians claim it (or the mermaids) of course. Because that would be lame.

Joking aside, I really hope that it turns out to be something interesting.

its already to late, everyone should know by ow that you need to set up the streaming live internet AS SOON AS YOU FIND IT,before any word leaks out,you have to be kidding to think that anything important would still be sitting there mere weeks depending on logistics after the government found out about it??I believe they found something but, will never find out what it was they found.

The thing is scientists is a broad term , Fox say scientists Lindberg says researchers .

The Ocean Explorer crew includes 13 researchers, including a sonar expert, and a camera crew from Swedish TV that will document the event.

I'm more inclined to believe Lindberg's description over Fox's

UFO = Unidentified Flying Object.

Lets not jump to conclusions of this being some sort of "alien craft".

It was never a Flying Object Alien or otherwise , its not even a floating object , in fact its not an object at all its a geological feature .

So it's a bug??

I read somewhere that the guy was trying to pitch a reality TV series using this find. Something like 'deadliest catch' but with old ships etc. It was reported he was in talks with an American production compnay. I wonder what happened about that?

A rock formation ....what do I win

I agree, some kind of natural structure. If not, then it's probably some experimental disc shaped Russian warship.

Here is the link to that thread with the picture in a link of what type ship it may be.
as posters have mentioned

Looking forward to the finding out what it really is.

The problem with the Russian ships that article refers to, is that there were only two built,
only one of them was ever commissioned and was not satisfactory, because the shape slowed it
down so much, it was decommissioned. The other was finished being built but neither were ever
used in battle nor were they ever in the waters of the Baltic Sea.
Only the smaller ship was tested at sea and that sea would be the Black Sea

I enjoyed reading the info anyway

Thanks

If it is a true UFO our little friends would have already went and got it by now if they did not want us to know....

Or maybe they will pull up a real UFO and disclosure will start tomorrow...

There are TWO disk shaped "features" down there.

Thanks so much for that info on how that shipped was tried and where it was used. I`m guilty of only looking at the pictures and saying yep looks possible.

So now I`m even more anxious to hear what they find. I`m leaning towards the rock formation but holding out for a possible UFO.
Even if it is UFO shaped Hitler had such craft if that is true at all.

If they are ruins then that would put the age of the ruins roughly 130000 to 115000 years ago or even older. Sounds impossible to me, but then I have been proved wrong many times.

Given the data until now, it could be either some sort of sunken ship, rock formations or indeed UFO (if someone believes that we have been visited before).

Whatever it is, it's interesting enough to put money and labor into it. Just hope they keep their words and show us what it is/was.
