It was a wonderfully well-spoken and formulated RANT! despite his little stumble at the beginning and certainly at least as effective as the pie they tried to give Murdoch.
In fact, there seemed a definite hush in the room and much motionlessness as if people were perhaps, somehow, really pondering the words...

ETA I like the fail at deflection.

"Can I just answer that on the record? What he said about JP Morgan was completely untrue. We never spoke about that."

Upon exiting the Prime Minister's function in the UK he was given some kind of high-up consulting position at JP in England. He wasn't a 9-5'er, just a name they had for it's fame. He bought a 4 million house in London, earned more than that every year for his consulting position and has looked tanned ever since.

Tony Blair Appointed Senior Advisor to JPMorgan Chase

NEW YORK, January 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- JPMorgan Chase announced today that it has appointed former British Prime Minister Tony Blair in a senior advisory capacity to the firm, effective immediately. Mr. Blair will also join the company's International Council.

Mr. Blair will advise JPMorgan Chase's CEO and senior management team on a part-time basis - drawing on his immense international experience to provide the firm with strategic advice and insight on global political issues and emerging trends.

This is what is defined as ongoing bribery.

The actions of the banks in this process is explained by John Perkins in his book
"Confessions of an Economic Hit Man"

Regarding the $20 billion...

Audits by the Special Inspector General for Iraq Reconstruction were particularly scathing over the CPA's handling of more than $20 billion of Iraq's own money and said lack of oversight opened up these funds to corruption.

Authorities took control of $20 billion of Iraqi government funds when they invaded Iraq and it was meant for reconstruction and humanitarian assistance, however it was used for pocket filling, bribes, payoffs including contracting abuses in Iraq, from overcharging by lead contractor Halliburton.

Basic theft.
