The Health Service has removed the word ‘dad’ from a pregnancy handbook for fear of offending gay and lesbian parents.
Officials decided to use the term ‘partner’ throughout the 200-page guide, titled Ready Steady Baby, after receiving a complaint that ‘dad’ was discriminating against same-sex couples.
But the omission of the word has angered some campaigners who claim that traditional family values are being undermined.
Norman Wells, of the Family Education Trust, said: ‘This is all part of an agenda to present as natural a type of family that cannot be created by natural means.
‘The NHS should not be squandering taxpayers’ money to advance the cause of a minority interest group.
‘No matter how much effort is made to present positive images of families headed by same-sex couples, the fact remains it takes a man and a woman to create a child.’

This is not about offending gays or whatever they use as an excus as I'm sure most couldn't care less, this is about PC crap.
What's wrong with having the word dad? How about mom? 2 male homosexuals might be offended by that, OH NOEZ!
Puulease, I'm gay and I find this ridiculous.
.......and not even worth being called the best name in the world - dad or father - then children cannot and will not accept God as FATHER.
This is the truth of their social re-engineering. Remove the respect of fatherhood, the respect of God diminishes.
The beast is very clever.
The Sad Passing of Common Sense
Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years.
No one knows for sure how old he was since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape.
He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as knowing when to come in out of the rain, why the early bird gets the worm, life isn't always fair, and maybe it was my fault.
Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you earn) and reliable parenting strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).
His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a six-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.
Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job they had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children
He declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer Panadol, sun lotion or a sticky plaster to a student; but, could not inform the parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.
Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband; churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.
Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar can sue you for assault.
Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realise that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement. Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust; his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason.
He is survived by three stepbrothers; I Know My Rights, Someone Else is to Blame, and I'm A Victim.
Not many attended his funeral because so few realised he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on.
If not, join the majority and do nothing.

Norman Wells, from the Family Education Trust, which campaigns against pornography and supports policies which promote marriage, said: "Benedict Garrett is being naive if he imagines that performing as a stripper and appearing in porn films is compatible with teaching responsible attitudes towards sex and relationships as a teacher of personal, social and health education.

Now when I become a Dad, the word Dad won't be in the handbook! That would upset me a bit ... But no no ... Gays come first! Who cares about anyone else!

Oh good god. It's time that we took everyone's sensitivity out of the equation, and went back to calling a spade a spade.
Political correctness is going to be the scourge of modern society in the end.
Gays - I've got news for you. You can't get pregnant unless there's a DAD somewhere down the line. Even if it's a sperm donor, it's still a dad.
It's time we stopped pandering to the sensitive few and go back to survival of the fittest.
