I lost my shortcut bar

It was there ... I must have hit hide or something and now it's gone.
How do I get it back?
This is the bar on the bottom that slides open with shortcuts to messages etc.

In the bottom right hand corner of your screen should be a button that reads "Show Ribbon". Click that.

it just came back but it was completely gone the show ribbon disappeared too.
Then it just popped back now.
