If Christians actually read their bibles, they would know that the coming of Christ cannot be predicted by any man nor Himself. Only the Father knows the hour.

How will Jesus return? Christ's coming will be unexpected and dramatic. It's in the BIble, 2 Peter 3:10, NKJV. "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up."

What will Jesus look like when He returns? It’s in the Bible, Luke 21:27, NKJV. “Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.”

How visible is His coming to be? It’s in the Bible, Matthew 24:27, NKJV. “For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

How many will see Him when He comes? It’s in the Bible, Revelation 1:7, NKJV. “Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.”

What will Jesus do when He comes back? Gloriously come with all His angels and carry out judgment. It’s in the Bible, Matthew 16:27, NKJV. “ For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works.

Jesus’ second coming will be loud, even enough to wake the dead. It’s in the Bible, 1 Corinthians 15:51-54, NKJV. “Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. No doubt it's been said, but
A) That dude is a loon.
B) There are a ton of events that still need to take place before anyone can expect the return of the messiah.

I'll spare the preach and scripture quoting, and just leave it at this.

Okay, before I go though, one more thing.

What is up with all these "ministers" or what-have-you (pick a title) claiming to know when the end is, when even Christ said he didn't know the day? What on earth makes them think they figured out something that the son of God (by their own claimed faith) has clearly stated only the father (God) knows?

That, sir, makes no sense.

What if there is no end what if we are the beginning. The Bible is a guide to keep us from blowing each other up and killing each other. I'm not saying there is no God either but. Why bother putting us here for such a short period of time then wiping us out I think we deserve better then that. God just might have gave us this universe not this planet so we may have a long way to go. Well I hope more for my kids sake then mine.Peace out

I agree. I think that the closer it gets to the end times, the more the false prophets will arise. It is good to know the scriptures. The true Word of God.

NONE of Herbert W. Armstrong's prophecies came to pass, he worshiped a different God than the One taught in the Bible and he taught a different message than that spoken by God in the Bible. Talk about “false prophets,” his batting average was on a scale of one to ten, hovering at absolute ZERO! He was wrong every time!

Herbert W. Armstrong predicted Jesus would return FIVE different times, in 1936, 1943, 1957, 1972, and his fifth and final attempt in 1975. Do these people NEVER learn?!


1936 : He predicted the final "Day of the Lord" would occur in 1936. It didn't.
1946 : He predicted the Jews would never occupy Palestine. They did.
1950 & 1965: He predicted that man would never reach outer space or walk on the moon.
1960 : He predicted Prince Charles would become the King of England. He’s still waiting.

to this day i still get a kick out of you religious types.

it's funny to me because this same thing has been going on since christianity's inception, but you still sit back and EXPECT there to be an armageddon. you would think that after all the failed end of times predictions people would stop falling for this stuff...

all that on top of the fact that the "bible" has been rewritten many times and been made to fit the particular views of a given tyrant, i just don't understand, with so many false prophets and disallusioned zealots, how there are still intellegent people riding that particular band wagon.
