I was asked by another ATS member to describe how I experience Oneness or Union with the Absolute. I know there are others here that experience this state and so I hope you can share the how to dynamics of it.

For me it goes like this:
1. I realize I am not the mind/ego/thoughts and kind of have a separation from that.
2. In this loose state, I am merely observing.
3. With surrender, me as the observer seems to drop from the head area, like an elevator, down through my neck, and I end up in a state where there is no I. Everything is just One.

Furthermore, I really dont have control over this or how this is done. I just happen to fall into it every now and then, many times when least expecting.

Please share yours

Funny, my moment is as I look at the stars in the darkest night....there is no more earthy body holding me still, and I am falling upwards to the vastness from which I came.

The Force is my ally. Once you are connected to the Force, you can't disconnect from it no matter what you do. It's a part of you, it's within you, it is you and you are it.

You can take substances to connect, or interfere with our firewalls of perception, or... you can scare the Hell out of yourself, this can achieve nearly the same effect on perception.

My way is bound in a repetition. . . like a circular tribal or drum beat, based off the heart rhythm.

Its always present.

I just focus to increase the volume.

I then feel at peace with my oneness with creation.

I often find myself wondering if there are many or few of us asking.

peace.

My oneness comes when I'm reading a great book. There are moments when I no longer exist and the story is everything. I am not cold or hot, hungry or full. I have no body aches, no thoughts of money or bills. It's as though the world simply disappears for a time. It's wonderful!

I had a very similar experience. It was a dark sky that was wondrous for me.

I haven't viewed the night sky the same since. I am often asked what am I looking at or for because I gaze at the night sky.

I hate the feeling of oneness. I hate feeling like I am connected to everthing.

It's overwhelming and annoying.

I enjoy remaining earthed and being me.

I will violate the t/c if I explained my oneness
I had a thread pulled for bringing it up.

The best advice I can provide you with is this: That When you acheive the state of Oneness : (a little way past the point of truly dropping the Ego), then think of this as a process similar to realising you can Obtain a passport, Then buy a ticket on an airplane for the first time ever! And can travel wherever you wish in the world! anywhere! for the first time! NO LIMITATIONS.

This is what I felt like only instead of travelling the world (in a physical sense) I realised that when you control the Ego and reach a point of enlightenment or "Oneness" that this is just the beginning not the end goal, when you reach that point that is when the fun begins! you can travel as far as your mind or conciousness will allow, it is truly electrifying!

The feeling of connection to many if not all things is awesome to say the least be prepared!.
I had/have a resounding sense that everything is connected and that in a direct experience sort of description it is like jumping from dimension to dimension of differing types & energies and experiences and locations ,one after another and of varying locations, intensities and timescales but the strange thing is after each moment of clarity and each journey I always see things in a more appreciactive light, and as a consequence am usualy more forgiving of the trivial problems and annoyences of everyday life which most of the time are just figments or constructs of our own imaginations or somebody elses anyway and a waste of life worrying about.
Hope this helps somehow it is the best help I can muster advice wise. Happy Journeys.

I guess I am trying to say that once connected (the passport and check in bit LOL) then the journey begins

Disgusting! So when the man says he forgets thinking about "I" or "himself" and thinks as everything as one , because its the way the universe works, people start posting selfish replies about how they can fly to a different place of the world. Like that matters?? you can go where ever you want but you still have land water food clouds sky and sunshine. Lice in your head of hair resembles that you are lice walking upon the hair of the planet. Everything is alive except for the things that man invents, which is basically the stuff that destroys gods planet.

I never asked for anyone to forget “I” or “himself” and how you could possibly see my reply as selfish? This seems to speak more about your state of self and not mine quite frankly.

You can go anywhere you please in your own mind fly, drive, pedal or row for all I care, unless you have other limitations placed upon your imagination by others, that is your choice not mine.
Your last statement speaks volumes to me : “Everything is alive except for the things that man invents, which is basically the stuff that destroys gods planet.”
This last statement shows me you have completely missed the point and probably always will.

The one time I felt oneness it was as simple as a beam of sunshine that came through my window and when I walked into it, I was one with everything.

I did also get something similar in meditation once, but not as profound as the sunshine one.

I think I've finally experienced a sense of oneness recently. I have a short time to type about it.

First, I'll mention that I've searched many years for even a small piece of spirituality. In the past, I've tried to utilize religious and philosophical beliefs from many cultures. I can say that I've also trained myself to attempt pain management with meditation. I've had some success with that, but not full relief. I've been a practicing Buddhist for several years, but never achieved the clarity I searched for. Mostly, I took to practicing Buddhism simply because my wife incorporated it into my life. I tried to make it work for me and get something from it, but until recently had not experienced what I would call oneness.

This experience happened, last week, at and old, seldom used shrine in Japan. The shrine is to Niou-sama and Komainu, and is located in the jungle outside of Iwaki, Fukushima.

I still don't know exactly what I experience. I was praying at the shrine, and I do anytime I happen to end up at one. This time I experienced a clarity of thought that I haven't before. All of my chaotic, random thoughts faded into a white noise, and then my mind was blanked. When my thoughts started to return, they were more ordered, and developed structure. My productivity has significantly increased from this experience and I am trying to realize what exactly happened. I want to keep this new found energy that I've found.

I don't know if I believe there was a divine intervention, or if all the were elements were just right. I can't say that I feel any less atheist than a week ago. Something happened. That's all I am certain of.

The body is quite mysterious. It contains all of my thoughts, my impulses, my desires and passions. It loves, it thinks, it sees, it wonders, it feels, it laughs and it cries. It is my entire being. It is my soul. It is my beginning and end.

That's about as one as we're ever going to get.

Everything else is probably just misdiagnosed indigestion or maybe you've had too much dinner and you're full. How can one feel oneness without first having at least a full belly and a glass of wine?

Warm light on a face does indeed feel nice on a sunny day. One with everything though—Isn't that a little bit of an exaggeration? or do you just never enjoy the sunlight?

Nope, I was one with everything there for about 10 seconds. It was like standing on the top of the highest mountain, opening your arms and just being everything. It was AWESOME.

Hello,

For me or us as it should be lol

My enlightenment was not a single moment but a slow learning of the truth. People often talk about this as an awakening.

I am very anti religion and concider myself a scientist, which imho has led me to become more spiritually aware than those that follow any organised religon.

My knowledge of oneness and my ability to feel its truth has led me to apear to become very charismatic to people, people seem to almost bend to my will, and its not just people.... Circumstances always favor me.

I relate to this as everything is only an extension of oneself.

All the best,

Korg.

Would you mind explaining further what "being one with everything" feels like? I've stood on a few mountains and I've enjoyed the view, and yes I admired the beauty of earth while I was there, but I wouldn't describe it as a "oneness."

Out of curiosity..thank you.

I know you were not directing this question to me but I would like to answer.

You might think that experiencing oneness must make you feel powerfull.... And it is true you do feel power but not in the sence of manipulation....

Its like total power of peace, love, harmony. You feel that everything that is is as it should be. The good and the bad stuff, melts into single union of harmony.

You feel every element but it extends not to the present but combines present past and future to become one moment.

Its dificukt to describe in words of course, but thats my best attempt.

All the best,

Korg.

I don't think I could of said it better

It feels like all is right on track and you are a part of it.
Only it goes deeper than just a feeling because it resonates so strongly with the "soul".

You just are aware of everything and a part of it in the bigger picture.
Words don't do it justice.
