It is a speculative solution - and what are you laughing at? Did I say something funny?

It’s funny and sad when people try to justify or defend this bogus, trumped up “War on Women” while the POTUS spends the US into oblivion. Maybe if you looked at the big picture you’d see that we won’t have an economy or jobs if we keep going the way we are. During a presidential election cycle I think this is a non-issue until we address the core economic problems we face.

This is a distraction issue!! Don’t you see that??

I’m right there with you that women should make what men make but do you think this is the most appropriate time??
It’s the most politically beneficial time for OBAMA and his re-election bid but not the right time for the country to push this issue IMO!!

The POTUS doesn't set the spending, Congress does, that is why the Founding Fathers
created separate branches of Government. Are you against the Constitution? you keep repeating
the same thing over and over... The sole reason for the Congress being there is to control spending
and make laws.

The link below is this thing called The United States Constitution that the men who created this country,
founded this country on. Read it

Seabag, you don't expect liberals to live by the laws and rules they dictate, do you?

We have pay disparity between the sexes. Okay for them, but if you do it, you're a hater.
We have the gun issues (it's okay for their bodyguards, but your family should get shot!)

Food, cars, homes, carbon footprints, taxes, drug testing, interns, . . . . . .

Hypocrisy, thy name is democrat.

And again, this. Hypocrisy, thy name is GOVERNMENT. Please tell me you you don't think the GOP is not a bunch of windbags spouting the same gibberish?

So it's ok for women to be paid less than men for doing the same job?

This is only a non-issue if you think women should be home, barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen. If women only listened to the right then they would know their place.

Hey seabag ever hear of something called equal rights? You know it's that little thing the right hates.
Did you read the OP??? He did not say that women should not be paid the same. Please show where he said that.

What he said was it was hypocritical for demoncrat women to pay their female staffers less than their male staffers YET push for a law demanding equal pay. Hypocrisy!!! Pure and simple.

I’ve already explained this to you in another thread.

In order for it to become law the POTUS must sign it. Do you understand that??

He has the authority, granted to him by the constitution you keep referring to, to VETO bills he doesn’t agree with.

a. The vested power or constitutional right of one branch or department of government to refuse approval of measures proposed by another department, especially the power of a chief executive to reject a bill passed by the legislature and thus prevent or delay its enactment into law.

b. Exercise of this right.

c. An official document or message from a chief executive stating the reasons for rejection of a bill.

2. An authoritative prohibition or rejection of a proposed or intended act.

I almost said government. But liberals tend to claim the moral high ground so often that I thought it appropriate in this case.

Straight up hypocrisy!!

The most important thing is for people to realize that this is a political stunt; a distraction from this country's horrible economic condition brought about by Obama's failed policies and out of control spending. Obama knows he needs lots of smoke and mirrors to get re-elected and this issue is just the beginning.

Just because the dems are being hypocrites does not mean the elected right are not waging a war on women. The elected right is most definitely doing so.

So the side waging "war" is pointing out the assault on women by the "side" defending them???

(ouch, twisted logic hurt my brain)

Enjoy my first thread pointing out how the house lead GOP is raising the debt.

Despite all of your yap, they are loading on the debt and breaking an agreement they

created regarding the debt.

I guess the word hypocrites cuts both ways

Just one example...
Arizona Birth Control Penalizes Women For Using Contraception For Non-Medical Reasons

Before you go all postal with "my tax dollars shouldn't pay for women to be sluts" ...that bill has nothing to do with free or subsidized health care. It's about employer provided health care, which most employers pay very little of. Not to mention it's not anyone one's business if a woman decides NOT to get pregnant.

That’s great!

Does any of that change the facts I pointed out in the OP?

Deflect much?

I'm not saying there isn't hypocrisy (that's pretty clear). I'm saying that there's definitely a war being waged on women, how's that twisted logic?

Tenth Amendment??

The Tenth Amendment states the Constitution's principle of federalism by providing that powers not granted to the federal government nor prohibited to the States by the Constitution are reserved to the States or the people.

link

You’re talking about what Arizona legislators did within the state of Arizona. Those actions are constitutionally protected. What does that have to do with the republicans in congress?

Does that change the fact that it's disgusting? That doesn't negate my claim that the elected right are waging a war on women.
