Ok, so i never post in this Forum, BUT, i thought this was an interesting article, so, check it out!

Out of 50 ideas, there is no mention of alien intervention.

Unbelievable.

Economy collapses and in 3 days the aliens intervene and create a one world currency, jump start the economy by giving everyone 1 million space credits and everyone is happy.

How could shtf miss that basic idea ?

Oh wait - Idea 51 (from area 51): Alien intervention.

They forgot to mention that American Idol might be in the finals and there's no way that anyone could even think of bringing down the US while this is happening...unless it's a 2 for 1 Big Mac Special. Now that makes sense...

As much as the doomers would like me to say... the world is going to #.

But, the world has always been going to #....

Keep prepping if that's your thing. Keep denying if that's your thing.

The reality is, that nobody will be able to foretell the apocalypse. Nobody can. Nobody will.

Not Astronomers, Astrologists, Popes, Preachers, Sadhus, Swamies, Llamas, Lords, Ladies, Pimps or Hoes.

Nobody.

Do what you do.

The worst thing that can happen is your life will end early.

Considering how you have been living... would that be so bad?

They need to add "Fukushima will DESTROY ALL so why bother?" The year before would have been "BP Gulf Spill and/or Corexit will DESTROY ALL so why bother?"

Oh Boy, another “Be Prepared, the world is going to hell in a hand basket next week” threads. And once an EMP hits, how are you going to haul off all that stuff you accumulated to your “safe spot”? You can only carry so much romin noodles in your back pack. You did take that into consideration....Right?

Title was 50 excuses for not prepping... Not once did i mention or imply that its going to hell next week. I understand though, if you dont buy into any survivalist hype, i can see why individuals like yourself are sick of these survival threads. Which is why ATS offers cool features such as OTHER forums that may interest you instead. I do think the article has valid points though... For example, lets say a major earthquake or flood or whatever happens (nothing involving prophecies, emps, nukes, zombies, etc) and your local walmart is destroyed, then what?! Its good to be prepared as best as you can for anything.

I do not prep because there is not point. Maybe a few days worth of supplies, but thats it. The world isnt gonna collapse. People need to sop being so paranoid.

One that I hear a lot is "It is too expensive". It only took FEMA 5 days to get water to the super dome. Why would I want to be self sufficient.... My family and I are Prepped. Prepare for the worst, and hope for the best is our Motto.
