You asked so nicely! Thank you!

Ron Paul is committed to overturning Roe V Wade. His Sanctity of Life Act would remove Supreme Court jurisdiction over women's health issues and make conception the LEGAL beginning of "life", AT THE FEDERAL LEVEL, giving FEDERAL rights to fetuses. Then it gives each state the power and free reign to protect that life. With literally hundreds of pieces of legislation and restrictions on abortion in the majority of states recently, women's reproductive rights would be set back to the stone age... If Ron Paul gets his way.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

I believe what you are referring to is a very touchy, current subject, and not that of civil rights of women decided 50 or so years ago. There isn't anything in the sanctity of life act that states that womens civil rights are being repealed. One right does not cancel out another right and make it wrong again. This is not RP's idea of liberty. Ron Paul has said for many years that he believes in liberty and life. He delivered babies for a living, so I can see how important this is to him. He has often been quoted as saying that any act of violence should be treated as such, even that against the unborn. I also remember him saying that he supports the morning after pill, and with good reason. Because it is next to impossible to know for certainty when an egg is being fertilized. I am a graduate nurse and I know what he means by this. I will also tell you what I have heard RP say many times. That if you can live your life without harming other people, then you can follow the path of liberty. Liberty means being responsible for yourself and the consequences of your actions. It is a huge burden on women to have to be the ones ultimately responsible for this kind of thing, but I can not change the fact that women are women, and they are the ones that carry the infants and give birth. If you become pregnant, it doesn't mean you have the right to perform an act of violence without just cause (for instance, if the child has trisomy 18 and would not be viable outside of the mothers womb or otherwise suffer). So I would say to any woman or man that treats life so carelessly, to use birth control. The sanctity of life act lets the states decide the issue anyway. It removes jurisdiction from the federal courts to decide issues dealing with abortion, right along with murder and other acts of violence. So if you don't like it, go to another state where it is allowed, thereby giving you an option. Or if you don't like the right to life part of our constitution, then you can move to a country that allows this kind of thing. We live in a free society, not anarchy.

This deserves a whole thread on its own... and it has probably been a thread before...

I stand corrected. George W Bush was the president I was referring to...
One letter off... thanks!

But call it what they want, what RP is pushing is the same thing that has been proven to not work. Repeatedly. I don't know what The Answer is, but it is clearly not the GOP trickle down model...

That is just plain wrong. Ron Paul has said that the easiest explanation for the failed economy is that Washington, DC is permeated by Keynesian economic thinking and that very few even know the name of Austrian Economics and understand the business cycle.

Are you suggesting the Austrian economic model has been tried in the US and failed?

The trickle down model is the furthest thing from Ron Paul's mind.
You need to do a little research friend. I don't mean looking up youtube videos of Ron Paul either. Read a book on austrian economics.

Do you understand Austrian economics it appears you don't.First it eliminates the central bank then all regulations on business. Its core belief is the economy will run fine without intervention. However history has proved this wrong just look at the great depression. This was the results of Austrian economics. If you take away the ability to manipulate interest and money supply then this allows for contraction without any safeguards basically leading to huge crashes.

Ron Pauls biggest problem is his Darwinian view of the world, in a supremely selfish notion of citizenship in which we are not our brother's keeper, in which her greatest good involves the most selfish ends.I dont want a society where each man is for himself this only worked in the middle ages.As a society we need to strive for the betterment of us all not just say do whatever just leave me alone.

Now, what else do you want to know about ME and why I'm voting for Obama - in a Ron Paul thread?

Its the same tactic that they attempted to use against me in the beginning of this thread. They dont want to actually talk about RP. They want to tell you why you are wrong.

They understand that, they are doing it on purpose.

The central bankers were responsible for the great depression, just as they are responsible for the coming greater depression.

If you got any further out there and you'd be able to touch the stars.

What word would you use to describe what Mitt Romney is doing...?

Paying people to vote...paying people to stuff ballots...and paying people to produce and
and distribute false election documents.

Would that be MItt Romney's treason?
++++++++++++++++++

I just edited this, because I now realize what this is called by the MSM...

It's called "Job Creation"... and..."Economic Growth"

I wonder if there can be any way to actually link Mitt Romney to
all the GOP election fraud and manipulation.

I know we can come close to pinning Mitt down on some of this stuff, but I mean an actual paper-trail
that can show that Mitt Romney oversaw and (financially) supported the GOP election
fraud he has been accused of...?

And why would MITT ROMNEY want to BUY AN ELECTION when
he is already STINKING FILTHY RICH...???

And I'm not sure the above amounts reflect how much Mitt Romney spent
on paying people to stuff ballot boxes, or how much he spent on transportation to bus
people in to his rallies, or how much he spent to "buy" their votes, or how much he spent
to pay them to create fake documents and hand them out. There is no way of knowing for
sure how much he has spent on that type of corruption.

Why doesn't he just take the 42 million a year he makes off of his investments from buying up
companies and then laying all the people off and selling the remaining parts, and just go
to Cancun and have a Coke and a smile and STFU?

Too bad that post is born of ignorance.

It is just your ludicrous opinion based on nothing. No one in with common sense would come to those conclusions. Nothing would happen to women's rights except.. well they would be more equal. We are talking less government not more.

WRONG.
Also you drew that opinion based on nothing.
I didn't say anything in regards to austrian economics except for one TRUE statement yet somehow you came to the conclusion that I don't know anything about it. That is funny of course because you go on to make an absolutely ridiculous claim.

As another poster already pointed out you clearly have no idea what caused the Great Depression. Did you just decide to try to blame Austrian economics for one time use in this thread. It makes absolutely no sense. I think you need to do some research into what ACTUALLY caused the great depression.

What was the point of trying to pin the great depression on Austrian economics and doing so while the current system has us smack dab in the middle of a depression, and the only plans being presented would hurt the country and even world further? Plus Obama is about to devalue our dollar even further.

I think the real question we need to ask ourselves is why. If Mitt Romney is actually guilty
of voter fraud and poll manipulation and stuffing ballot boxes and buying votes...WHY?

Why would he take part in, and expose himself to the punishment he could receive from
such criminal activity if he were convicted, to secure a nomination that the MSM is already
purporting that he "has in the bag""

Maybe Ron Paul is actually winning the required delegates to secure the nomination with
his huge popular grassroots campaign, and Romney is desperate.

It would be sad to see Romney in jail for corruption....and I don't wanna even know what would happen
to him if he told any of his black inmate brethren that they were inferior to him because he was white
and "Of the chosen race" by god....that would be bad

Central bankers caused the great depression. I would like to see some examples if you are going to make bold statements. Regardless we are in a communication age and in a country being literally destroyed by central banking Austrian economics would do amazing things for us right now.
