Battleship, another alien movie filled with symbolism?

If your into the whole symbolism in movies thing and havent seen battleship go watch it cause im sure theres plenty of things I missed, but let me start with a intro. Pretty much the movie idea is we send a signal to find aliens they find us but it never clearly states whether or not they are hostile. They only attacked when threatened which I was confused about but anyways there a 4 main ideas I want to point out in this movie.

1. WW3 - The movie takes place in hawaii, the navy is holding some kind of ceromony event where japan and america get together and compete in events. (Pearl harbor reference?)

2. NWO - In the movie the main character doesnt get along with one of the japanese guys but in the end work together to overcome the alien threat and become friends.

3. Alien invasion - First off THE ALIENS IN THE MOVIE ARE REPTILIAN! Hint, hint? Never explains what they came for we just killed them in fear, which is bullcrap everybody shoulda died but its a movie right? Also watch the preview for gi joe movie, reptilian and nwo reference in the movie.

4. London Olympics - I dont know how many of you are of aware of the 2012 olympic situation but theres definintly something weird going on in the uk. Im gonna just stick to the references in this movie, first off theres 5 ships, each a different ring color. The main ship representing blue, water. (Age of aqaurius) The thing that really creeped me out is that they actually had the nerve to make the alien ships "swim" like olympic swimmers! If you watch closely it breaststrokes through the water, somethin fishy going on or coeincidence?

For me, the aliens looked more like the endboss in pirates of caribian, the one with the stolen heart.
That squid like creature, thats the word I searched for.

But I admit, while watching I got some symbolism too.

Do you guys honestly think the writers didn't do this on purpose?

In order to write about something and make it interesting, they have to pull inspirations from wherever they are to be found. In this case it was probably ATS, GLP and their friends who listen to Coast to Coast.

It's a movie, designed to make money and put asses in seats. Not a symbolic way of telling a select few people that the end is near. The fact that we're talking about it means they earned their wages.

And let's be honest, a movie based on a board game didn't really have many other options than aliens if they really wanted to make money with it. It's popcorn entertainment, nothing more.

Anyone ever think that the people that make these movies are possibly just as big of fans as most of us here on ATS are. Hell if I was making a movie I would put as much conspiracy # in it as I possibly could. Just to # with every single one of you

Theres symbolism EVERYWHERE, when someone makes a logo theres a meaning behind it. You think that mcdonalds m is just a golden m? You think the startbucks lady is just a lady? No, do your research and youll see everything has a meaning, yes including movies and television. Why? BECAUSE THEY CONTROL HOLLYWOOD, they put these things in front of your face to make you acceptable to the idea whether you believe it or not. Your being mindbanged and dont even know it.

As far as I know, it was a special day and I believe the veterans were on that museum ship because of that reason. History and all that.

Yea but do you remember that the alien invasion started, they survive the night and the next day all those old people were still chillin on the ship lol. Were they not aware of the invasion?

As for you curious, it doesnt even bother you that they would involve aliens with battleship in the first place? How is that based of the game, no its based off the fact that we're fighting a war at sea.

Who else would they fight? Nazis? Russians? The Japanese? It was a decision based on their demographic.

It's a movie based on a Milton Bradley board game. Fighting aliens is the logical choice for EVERY popcorn action flick; especially when the source material offers little or no inspiration of its own.

This is another manufactured movie; nothing of true artistic integrity was used outside of that which would generate revenue.

Why not creatures that came from the ocean? You act like they had no other choice, they've been blowing up the alien movie scene in preparation.

Let me ask you a question, if they showed a man eating a sandwich in a movie and I said it wasnt possible what would you say? Your answer, hes eating a sandwich of course that is possible stupid. But if they show aliens in a movie and I say thats possible your answer is thats not possible stupid, why? Because its in a movie? Do you get my point. You think exactly how they want you to, congrats your a slave of the new world.

Why not Bigfoot? Because as a movie premise, it's horrible. Why not Nazis, Asians or Russians? Because that's not the demographic they want to deliver to.

This is my third time saying it, and it's no less true than before: Battleship is a popcorn action flick which was MANUFACTURED. It's as much of a movie as Justin Beiber is a genuinely talented singer.

The people who wrote it were smart enough to pull from various sources, this site probably being one of them. Do you honestly think the producers and directors collaborated with the studio heads and writers to insert all kinds of symbolic special meaning in to a crappy movie? To what end? Why? To give you and your buddies a warning? To prepare you for flying alien battleships? Again, why?

They chose aliens because it's an easy way out. Because it's popular. Because it sells tickets.

I'll be a slave to the machine any day over whatever the hell it is you're a slave to. Sheesh.

It means we're talking about it, giving them publicity and enticing people to see it for themselves.

As for as the games, mw3 and mass effect both end in london and mw3 and bf3 both share a similar mission having to do with a bomb in paris.

As far as the biblical names, to my understanding its some zion thing, (New jerusulam) aka the NWO
