There's over 18,000 on that one stream, and it hasn't even begun yet.

Amazing.

Maybe I lack a little celestial knowledge, but shouldn't everyone be able to see the eclipse starts at the same time?

I'm using the livestream from my rooftop.
N.Kalifornia!
I guess there is something nice to say about the state.

Got my arc welding goggles handy as well.

(Edit)
I will try to get pics, no guarantees though, I just might fall off the roof.

%&(@&@#%!@)!!!!!!!!

Yet another part of this harsh reality is setting in...I'm not going to see ANY of this here in Centreville, VA. Oh well, I guess I can wait 5 years until 2017 total eclipse.

Sun shining brightly thru the trees in here Florida.
Don't have a welder's mask to see even an edge shadow.

Ok heres what I got.
First shot is single filter from arc welding goggles, as you see the sun was still a bit bright.
All photos are from a DroidX, as I am Ghetto and will not buy a thousand dollar camera.

First photo with only one filter.

This pic has 2 arc welding goggle lenses, abit dark in the background, but tolerable.

All pics about 10 mins apart or so, these are the ones that my fat old shaky hands took, the best ones if you will.

Well, that's what I got, all of the photos other than the first are full zoom so the bad quality.
I did not quite get the full "ring of fire" from my locality.

Actually it looks like the clouds worked for you by suppressing the majority of the glare, great photos.

Thanks for the pics! We were socked in with coastal fog all day. My view was non existent

I did watch on a feed though, so I wasn't super bummed.
