At approximately 11.00 am on Wednesday, 6 April 1966, a class of students and a teacher from Westall High School (now Westall Secondary College) were just completing sports on the main oval when an object, described as being a grey saucer shaped craft with a slight purple hue and being about twice the size of a family car, was alleged to have been seen.

I grew up just a few blocks away from where this event took place.
A fascinating case that never garnered the attention it deserved. I'm off to watch the vid.

Exactly ... obviously they saw something. Something that conventional wisdom doesnt explain.

The first video is interesting. I cant understand why anyone would demand that the kids saw nothing if it was a real alien encounter. What would be the point? But it would make more sense if it was some kind of secret government aircraft that had gone astray. Maybe something attempting to use nuclear power? There was mention of a girl 'Tanya' who got sick and had to be taken away , never to return. It would make sense to try to hush that up if it was the fault of the government's or army's fault. The human race has been looking for life in space for many years. I think the idea that governments are trying to hush up the existence of aliens is a myth, put forward by people who want to sell books on UFO's.

The second video not so interesting. Ive looked into the case of the second video and there are huge differences in the stories from the kids. Some say there was 1 ship some say 2 and other's say they didn't see anything at all. Some say there was an alien and other say there was just ships and some say they saw nothing. There were a few children who kind of came up with the same story (the ones in the video) but there were many more who came up with very different accounts and a whole bunch of children who didn't see anything at all. I also found the people interviewing the children to be giving very leading questions in this case. All in all i think they were just lying.

What doesnt make sense about it then? Have you done a lot of research into that story? because i have.

The children heard a flute-like noise in the air. If anyone can name a flying craft that currently exists that makes that noise (apart from an automated flute machine on a remote-control toy heli) that would be much appreciated.

The interviewer also seemed a bit leading in his questions. Ex. Was the pointy part up there? And the girl says up there after the interviewer.

If this was staged using kids then it is despicable. If this is authentic then kudos to the interviewer for his professionalism in interviewing those children.

AAnyway, back to the topic. Firstly, thoses kids must have seen something imo. Not sure how much of the story is the true account, reporter does seem to be leading in his questions. If only the reporter could have done less leading , kids are good at getting their point across & Im sure it would have been the same impact.

I noted that one reply mentioned discrepancies in this story. I will throw this into the mix and you can chew on this as to why this may be the case. This story comes from a friend, retired navy tech whom is very stable and of high IQ.

He was a teen on a boy scout camp out when all the boys stopped and looked out over the lake to see a UFO approaching just above the water, a typical one with a conical top and had large windows. The boys and councilors were scattered over a large area and were not near one another. The UFO then stopped at the edge of the lake and hovered there for a time. My friend whom is a smart a$$ and quick witted, commented to his friend that it was just there to advertise Joe's bar and grill, all the while staring up at the large window facing them.

Then the UFO streaked away and the boys calmly returned to what they were doing with no conversation or excitement at all which confused Bill to a great degree, it was as though nothing had happened out of the ordinary.

The next week at school, Bill mentioned the UFO to another friend whom was at the camp out but at the far edge of the field away from where he stood, what he thought of the UFO. His friend looked at him in confusion and replied, "what UFO, that was a plane with a banner advertising Joe's bar and grill", and he had not been close enough to hear his comment. As I see this, memories can be altered and I say this also based on my own experience.

I've heard of this story before but never really looked into it,interesting.
The girl that disapeared,did she not come back to school or not back to living where she did ?
searching her down would be interesting i think.

did it happen..i think something happened but what i don't know,it was the 60's & all sorts of things must have been being tested in the sky.
