It is easy to make a sweeping statement like: "Pure thought requires none of those five senses you listed."

Can you please tell me what you think 'pure thought' is.

A thought is an appearance.
Nothing can appear to appear without the witness/seer/observer..

The asended masters have not gone anywhere. They have just asended the conditioned mind. They see the conditioned mind for what it is, they observe it. They have overcome the world by seeing that the mind is the world, the world is no more than an idea and the asended masters know this.

I am talking about the soul within a mortal body here on Earth
When one's body dies the soul is freed of it's mortal bonds
The soul ascends beyond the Earth and in some cases beyond the stars
When this occurs one is truly home though I do understand what you are saying about being home already.
I choose to view my soul as fixed to Earth for this lifetime for a purpose - Yes I know my soul is Immortal by nature
I am not wanting to escape it for one day I will when the time comes
I am wanting to connect the Earth and Nature rather than dismiss it as blink of the eye illusion in the big scheme of things

It is difficult to see what goes on next to you with blinders on. Though, you can see the horizon. Yet, what good is a forward vision if you neglect that which is to your right? And if you want to look towards your right, do you not neglect what is in front of you? In doing all these things, you never even caught a glimpse of what goes on to your left.

My request isn't for myself I am me as I am.My request was what place for defenders in general.Too many have put up a response that we are limited as we took a limiting path when in fact it is a path of sacrifice for others.

"Too many", is a blinder for one of your eyes. Take it off.

My request was what place for defenders in general.

How do you know who is defending and who is attacking if you only look in one direction? Take those blinders off. There is but one defender facing attackers.

Interview with an alien.I don't know if this is real but that statement covers what American soldiers try to do as best as we can.Some can't and go mad with the malice,even drunk with it.It is an inhumanly hard thing to do.It is no blinder it is a calling. We all have matters we must overcome. Are you enough of a fighter to overcome the fighting? Enough of a guardian to guard your own soul?

If there is nothing left to fight that would be true,but there always is.My fight is with my own mortality now I am soon to croak I have COPD and a 15 year expiration date.I'll be taking a trip sooner rather then later.The question does still stand.
