Yesterday morning, I woke up with a strange feeling. That night I had a very vivid dream about a relationship I was involved in a few years ago. In that dream I kept on waking up but finding myself in that very dream again. When I woke up, I almost felt like I had tapped into an unknown dimension of some sort. Anyway, I proceeded to take a shower, get dressed, and head out the door to start my day. Here is where it gets strange..

As my car is pulling out of the driveway, I notice that there is this familiar red beat up car that my ex brother in law use to drive. I then noticed that inside was this girl and this guy who resembled me and my boyfriend. I almost spit out my coffee because the girl looked exactly like me and the guy looks exactly like him ! She was facing forward and the guy had on his shades and was blowing his nose. I kept on driving and I was almost tempted to turn back around and drive back to my street. I was running late so I figured maybe it was just my imagination.

So I continued driving and passed by this park. Right as I'm driving by the park, I notice this guy jogging. I notice that he has his hair slicked back and is wearing dark framed glasses. He looks exactly like my boyfriends roomate. At this point, I'm pinching myself because this doesnt look right. I thought to myself "Am I just dreaming??"

My day went on without noticing anything strange and as of today, everything seems back to normal. Has that happened to any of you before? Do you think I entered a different universe at that period of time? Or was it just a case of a simple random coincidence ?

Yep, the lights...and it seems to occur quite often.

Coincidence...but I think we should go back to the beginning and discuss the shower part more - but only if that's you in the avatar.

For sure this has happened to me before. I believe dreams take place in another dimension, by the way.
But as for the strange "coincidences", let's just say I don't believe in coincidences. Maybe those people were put there to remind you, or to taunt you. I don't know how that relationship ended, but maybe it is a reminder of a lesson, or just the Universe (multiverse, maybe) trying to show you something. What that is, though, I couldn't tell you at the moment...

Actually yes. Every day seems to get stranger and stranger.

Then again, I do live in California, so this could be expected.

BTW , I'm only responding because of your cute Avatar pic.

That was my thought at first. BUT the only thing is that it wasnt the ex boyfriend I was seeing in this car. It was actually the guy I am with now ! Also I must add that this whole block I live in is just plain weird. Many many years ago.. I was waiting for my friend to stop by my house and I noticed someone pass by my front yard that looked exactly like him. So I stood up and I waved to him (I was sitting on top of some stairs) but I noticed that he kept on walking.. I thought that was really strange, so I thought ok, maybe hes gonna turn around and come back. Well about 10 mins later. I really start freaking out and here comes my friend running from down the street. He said " Sorry, Im late" , and I said "No, you arent, why did you keep on walking?" . Apparently, it wasnt him but I believe that it was maybe his doppleganger. We even locked eyes when he walked by.

Sounds like an emotional hangover from the dream. The mind likes to play tricks when something deeply emotional is lingering in the subconscious. Have had the experience before thats the best I can come up with for an explanation

I'm hoping G made that comment in regards to six's post, though neither warranted it...

You may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I find you attractive - and that's all that matters around here...at least that's what I tell myself daily, and it seems to be working.

Also, a little too much MAC makeup, but what's a girl supposed to do these days, huh..?

Very interesting story.

I think you should first confirm by asking your boyfriend if he was by your house today.

I hope he wasn't for your sake thou.

Thank you. I aint a supermodel and even if I was, it still doesnt mean that everyone will think I'm attractive !

As for the MAC makeup, Im a freelance makeup artist, so I have to have my gear ready and look presentable

Yeah, I've awakened with a sense of bad or strange vibes. Despite that I've never experienced anything quite like you'd described--that is, looking at myself as if I were outside of myself.

But yeah: I would pinch myself too. Seeing myself outside of myself would ... probably be unsettling.

I live alone, and there have been a few times when I've come to find it different somehow. Can never put my finger on it.

I am not a sports fan, but I was asked which team would win the superbowl. I said to the Patriots fan, the score will be 21-17 Giants.
And that's exactly what it was. I didn't watch the game, but I found out the score when that fan pounded on door and yelled, "YOU JINXED US!"
lol

This happened to me not too long ago. I think what i had was called a false awakening.

I woke up sat down and grabbed my glasses, like i always do and someone walked into the room just as i got up to leave. I thought it was my nephew, i couldnt see it was dark and didnt have my glasses on yet and it seemed like it was more of a shadow person to say. I was kinda freaked out and frightened a lil. When i got my glasses on i reached the living room. I found a few minor details a little off. I saw our old couch that we recently got rid of and I saw my nephew sleeping on it.
I didnt know who that was i just passed leaving my bedroom, a little more freaked out i stepped outside on the porch. I was shocked to find out what i was looking at, i was in aww. This dream was one of my most vivid and colorful dreams i had. The sun from what i was seeing seems like it was just rising, as usual on how sunrises look with the light just peering over the mountains. But, the sun was almost in the middle of sky. I then came to realize it was summer. All the snow was gone. I dreamed this a couple of months ago, it being still winter!

I then knew came to realize that i was dreaming. I quickly went inside to put on my shoes, but sadly thats when i woke up.
I think i musta got too excited and woke up. lol

I'm sure she'd say the same about you, but I'm sure she has more class!

BMM - Who knows what you experienced, maybe you still have feeling for this guy and picture the two of you together. Just a guess though. Anyway, I find it rather interesting and hope you find the answer.
