Comedians and funny-persona guys have the advantage of saying the truth disguised as jokes, and people don't get whether they are actually saying the truth or just messing around. Considering that Will Smith was indoctrinated by Tom Cruise into scientology, that his daughter is/was being mind-programmed as a Rihanna-type of Monarch, that he made his way into the Illuminati industry of entertainment, the odds are that he WAS briefed about aliens, before doing MIB movies, but obviously he would never say a word about it, without disguising as a harmless joke.

I know the comment was because MIB3 is coming out, but I bet he does believe in aliens. I'm pretty sure he is loosely associated with Scientology.

Honestly? Part of me thinks he isn't joking. It's not only the way he says it, it's the way he changes the conversation back to his son's interest in conspiracies with such a jagged transition that makes me wonder. Back when Independence Day came out I remember hearing that the government offered to help instill accuracy in the details in exchange for Area 51 not being mentioned by name in the movie. I'm not sure that's true, but it still makes me think perhaps the government pays more attention to these things than most would believe at first glance.

Will Smith's attitude when he's talking about the situation in the White House, his son being tuned into conspiracies and himself being briefed about aliens, sounds like the inflated-ego-self-promotion babbling. He HAS to show off, impressing the BBC guys saying "I'm the Real McCoy and I have information about aliens". Reminds me of how he flaunted himself in his songs.
