Robert F Kennedy Jr's estranged wife has been found dead in New York, her attorney says.

Kerry Lawrence said he did not know Mary Kennedy's cause of death. She had suffered drink and drug problems.

In a statement, the family of the 52-year-old said her "radiant and creative spirit" would be "sorely missed".

Mr Kennedy, a lawyer and radio host, is the nephew of President John F Kennedy and son of Senator Robert F Kennedy, both assassinated in the 1960s.

Queue the conspiracy theories. Seriously though, I wouldn't even be surprised. She was estranged and said to have drink and drug related problems in the past, but then again so do most politically affiliated "suicides" in America.

A suicide or murder is always awful and a sad affair. Let's hope she's in a better place now.

The Kennedy family is full of Mysterious Deaths. Wonder Why??? It is a huge family so I think there would be some deaths here and there.

I don't think it is the number of deaths that cause suspicion, rather the relatively young age that they die. Circumstances being a contributing factor to the conspiracies obviously

She was related by marriage. The blood relations of that family seem very cold and evil. Seems to me he mentally brutalized that women into whatever she did but I could be wrong. To be safe, think twice about marrying into that Klan..

That was exactly how it was when I posted it...

It was an apparent suicide by hanging. She did have drinking & drug issues which begs the question could an addict have the ability to make the knot and go through the process in order to hang themselves? I'm sure they could. I don't know the statistics on women hanging themselves but it seems like pills would have been a more likely suicide and I'm sure she had access.

She was estranged. Just sayin'.

I do like the above posters comment, it's a big family - you're gonna have some hinky deaths in there but this family sure has a plethora tp the point people call it the Kennedy Curse.
