The crisis was extensively covered live as it happened. It is often revisited in feature articles. Do you want them to run a ticker along the bottom of the screen 24/7 showing radiation readings from all the neighboring prefectures? What would you do with the information?

Again, the eruptions are covered extensively as they happen. Scientists don't find the activity unusual.

I'm surprised that the media isn't actively promoting more internet hoaxes.

Yet again, earthquakes are covered extensively as they happen. Scientists don't find the activity unusual.

These may actually be receiving too much exposure on the news. Nature has cycles, it is not always obvious why certain things happen the way they do. Further study is called for, not panic.

What the tenor of the video suggests is that the mainstream media are not trying to generate enough sheer terror and panic. That's what the internet is for.

people like you make me sick, your completely in denial about whats going on around you. Mass animal deaths that are STILL happening, and nobody knows why, the ring of fire is lighting up with big earthquakes everyday, which in turn is waking up all of the volcanoes, fireballs falling from the sky, strange noises being heard all over the world, the U.S. has been ravaged by horrible weather and around 400 tornadoes since april 11, why dont you do some REAL research about whats going on ?.

Personally, I think more people should use Facebook for this specific purpose, (that is about all it is good for). I too post only 'alternative news' on the site. It must make some people think if they see it.

You are right. We actually have two drills we practice. One is just as you describe; we huddle in the corner with the doors locked and the blinds drawn shut. That is for an intruder on campus.

However, we also do the emergency evacuation drill. I'm assuming that would probably be used for a bomb threat, gas leak in the building, what have you. The kids have even practiced running in a zigzag...isn't that sad?

Federal government mandates the schools have a crisis plan in place, but the individual states (and perhaps school systems) have final say about what goes in the crisis plan.

That sounds like a list from an ATS member. Besides that, alternative news sources are no better than the MSM. No one is reporting REAL news, they're just looking for the spotlight. Everyone wants their 15 minutes of fame. ATS is a great example of that. Years ago, people actually reported on "news". Now, they're just making up stories. Ain't nothing going on in the world....that hasn't gone on....for the past 2,000 or so years. Same thing, different day. Doom will come...when you LEAST expect it. Anything smaller than a 7.0 M is strictly a local news item. They rate between a quick clip on the nightly news and a paragraph on page 3. Anything above a 7.0 M generally gets live coverage on CNN, complete with shaky videos shot with mobile phones. Are you really that stupid?

you are entitled to your own views but I think the majority of people thing that these issues should be covered in the news more.

Perhaps an Earth Change Mainstream News Channel?

For one.... Nothing is normal. Define normal? This planet is nothing but normally changing and so is its inhabitants.

There are a lot of reasons for concern and the one that concerns me the most is earthquakes in diverse places. Not really cool with fracking! Just my opinion of course.

The planet will out last us though. She has been around for a long time but hey, anythings possible.

Our Sun and the rest of space has not been observed long enough for me to say what is constant and what is not. I for now think everything is constantly chaning and that is the only thing I know for certain.

We do think we are free but are so far from it. We are all slaves to a system.... Even the Universe holds a system that leaves us far from any control.

1. Nothing strange is happening on the Sun. Someone uses their wild imagination to come up
with ridiculous conclusions like giant "triangles" orbiting the Sun and people say OHHH and AHHH
like its true. It gets to the front page, gets debunked, and people ignore the facts and there begins
the delusions. There is no evidence of "strange" things happeneing on the Sun.

2. Yes, they are ignoring Fukushima. They've been ignoring Africa, and have been ignoring Ron Paul as well.
Why aren't those on the list? What more could they tell you about Fukushima? Its bad. It going to get worst.

3. Just like the earthquakes and the strange sun thing, peoples imagination get the best of them. Like really. You
