I think you are in danger of violently agreeing with the people you are surprised about - the US examples are just the most well known recent ones.

You forgot to add the two words that would actually provide the correct context to your thread title.."IN MALAYSIA" Who cares about some stupid court in Malaysia. All that means is that those found guilty can never step foot in Malaysia or they will be arrested, and I don't think that they will mind considering Malaysia is a filthy armpit of a country. I say that having been there a few times myself. I wish a court here in the US would find them guilty, but that will never happen.

It's not a court, and there is no danger of arrest.

there are a lot of very nice touristy sports in Malaysia - plenty of good diving & snorkeling.

Uh, yessir, Obama started a war with another country. Bush tried to stop it. Gotya.
Wonder how many people died under the Obama administration...

The war against libya was not a war

And if the democrats where such hot shots then why did they not stop the republicans from going to war back in the bush era? Also tell me are you convinced that alqueda hit both the pentagon and the twin towers, or was it a combined mossad and cia operation to cover-up the $2.3 trillion still missing?

Obama at least Tried for socialized med care. No Republican would ever DREAM of doing that.

Ok! He tried but you keep confusing liberals with progressives.

And your Solution is - Let me guess - DON'T VOTE? Since both sides are Evil we'll just NOT VOTE for either?
I'm sure that's an absolutely brilliant solution. One which I've heard many times on here from the David Icke fans.

At least this thread's about a group of guys who had the BALLS to come out and point their fingers at Bush & Co.

That's apparently more than ANY AMERICAN has done in the past decade.
In fact, considering the average 21st Century American's memory capacity, I'm rather surprised anyone can remember that far back. Beyond the "We'll Always Remember 9/11" brainwashing. Oh, yeah, they weren't a tribunal of Americans. Makes sense now.

Then again, I'm sure every American on here thinks that Bush's actions had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the present day Recession because Obama's in power NOW not Bush and he would just have magically made it Go Away if he really tried and cared for the American people.

Oh what the hell's the sense. I should just shut up. 90% of more of the people here probably think the greatest U.S. president was Ronald Reagan and believe that he personally tore down the Berlin Wall and conquered Communism.

There are many parties to vote for. Why vote for the big parties? Who said you had to?

Good for them. I am not really trying to make fun of them, but other members are. Also you should know I have been on the 9-11 board(on and off) for years reading and contributing. I have argued with people to the point of needing an aspirin and going to bed. It is useless to convince "trolls of the system".

Maybe you should re-read my previous posts where I explain my stance in detail. And you didn't even answer my question of why the democrats did not stop the republicans from invading iraq and afghanistan.

You honestly have no idea how much i hate ronald reagan and prime minister thatcher. I can't say what I feel about them without getting hit with an *extreme t&c violation* or perhaps even getting banned. Seriously go pick a fight with someone else. You are too right for me on the political scale!

No joke, Bush and his father are above the "law" as it pertains to the common man.

They are part of the elite goonies for now and above "the law'.

He who makes the most money and sells their soul are above the law".

I don't think Bush or the other six are going to lose any sleep over this. Maybe they shouldn't try to sleep in Kuala Lumpur though
There may be a few fired up individuals there. Can we make up our own tribunals here in the USA? Cool, we could really fill up the net with a bunch of crap.

I am not sure, when you put it this way, if you are talking about the tribunal, or the US Administration through history.

You are right, and at the same time ... wrong.

George W. Bush, his father and their associates ARE guilty of war crimes. It didn't need Kuala Lumpur to decide that, but a court in Kuala Lumpur is of no consequence.

What YOU do not comprehend, is the following and I urge you to take notice.

Any war, that will be fought ... will NEVER again, take any notice of the "geneve convention". If there is another 911, nobody will care ... if a dirty bomb is activated over New York, nobody will care. If a chemical agent, or a biological agent is triggerred in the US. Nobody will care. If a 100 thousand americans die, nobody will care ...

The very thing, that you don't care ... and that you go along with your government racistic attitude, will make the rest of us ... not care, when a biological agent is trigger in the US.

It isn't a question of "if", but a question of "when". Your own government knows it, so it's "paranoid" ... for a reason. Your government agents, go call 1 year old muslm children for "pigs" in public and it's all over the news, world wide.

The citizens of the US, are stupid, ignorant, racistic morons that won WWII, but it wasn't winning WWII that got them ahead. It was the 70's that made everybody love the US ... but unfortunately, instead of continueing down that road, you just had to put your mad "hitler"-types free. You thought it was OK, because they weren't "germans". Well, news flash for you ... have you looked at hollywood figures lately? dropping like flies? it's not because China is copying your movies. It's because when I watched Die Hard 4.0, 10 years ago ... it was an amusing movie. When I watch it today, Bruce Willy's is a dumb, racistic fascist.

This is what has happened in these 10 years.

You are being played, on your stupidity ... your idiocy is being used against you. You got "Germans", "Europeans" that have for decades to suffer indignity because of your racistic view. Now, they and others, put you up for this ... and you just fell into the trap. Now you are nothing but a pathetic little Hitler type, that makes fun of "asian chicks", and don't like "muslims" and paint all enemies as "blacks".

If you don't want to see your Children get nuked ... I sincerely suggest you get your act together, and arrest those in question and turn them over to the Swizz.

That would be the "smart" thing to do ... any other road, will only lead to the "slow", but "certain" destruction of the US.

And there is nothing anyone can do, to help you there ... even if we'd want to.

I have mixed feelings about the existance, and the actions of this tribunal. First of all, let me say that in terms of what I think of the defendants, and thier behavior over the course of thier time in power, I believe them to be as guilty of committing acts of gross inhumanity, as those that they were prosecuting a war against at the time of the commission of the crimes of which they are accused.

One might therefore be forgiven, for thinking that I am happy that this tribunal has been put into action, and a verdict reached. However, one would be mistaken in this case. Although I believe that the defendants in this case ought to be put before a war crimes tribunal, there is only one court that I would accept a verdict from in this matter, and that is the tribunal at the Hague. The reason for this, is that they have the longest expirience of dealing with these matters in a legal rather than totalitarian manner, and thier judgements carry massive weight all over the world.

The problem with the verdict as given, and the event of this tribunal being held at all, is that if the sky were to fall in, and pigs begin to fly, and Bush and Co. ended up in a REAL tribunal in the proper place, with the proper gravitas, then thier lawyers could easily use this weak ruling, from an unrecognised court, to say that a fair trial cannot be had, due to the existance of this previous courts publically announced verdict. They could say (wether fairly or not) that the pre-existing verdict muddies the waters, and will influence the courts final deliberation so strongly, as to make a conviction unstable on those grounds, and prone to overturning on successful appeal, so bought upon the very basis I have outlined.

The other problem I have with this ruling, is that its scope is very limited. For a start, no prosecution pertaining to the events of the war in Iraq and Afghanistan can be complete unless the former Prime Minister, Tony Blair is also on the list of defendants.

This is a very difficult subject for an awful lot of people. Some folks have been so well indoctrinated that the very idea of a western leader being charged with such crimes makes them come out in a rash. Others across the world would like to see Bush pulled apart by a Pinhead like character, and tortured for ten eternities for his sins.
I would just like for the western free world to show that it IS capable of applying law to itself as much as it does the rest of the world, if not more so.

The judgement as handed down is nothing. It has no importance on the world stage, it will not see Bush in jail, nor any of his cronies. Nor will a single man among them have his bank accounts frozen, his passports taken, or any other such thing. The court that made this ruling has no power over the defendants, but has set in place the very lever by which the defendants as listed may escape a genuine conviction over the matters to which the ruling pertains, and I think that the whole charade here is a set up job, purely to provide that lever. I cannot even allow myself the delusion of thinking that the judges involved did this in good faith, with pure hearts. I suspect hearty kickbacks have been recieved, and much caviar consumed.

I will wait until the Hague decide to finally deal with this difficult issue, before putting out the celebratory noose shapped pastries, and the obligatory port and cheese board if thats all right with everyone else !

Don't knock the 70s. They were the greatest time of my life. A time before computers took over, before the rich were yuppies, Before Reaganomics. Americans still had Minds back then and were able to make simple decisions like "with an energy and fuel crisis, we have to conserve rather than Waste." And they knew a real presidential crook when they saw one (Nixon--who back then in the polls was right up there with Hitler as the top-rated villain of all-time).

All this went down the toilets in the 1980s, along with reasoning and the Ability to Reason. By the 2000's we had sheeple.

Today, Reagan (for some inexplicable reason beyond My reasoning) is elevated to the level of near-godhood as one of the greatest U.S. presidents of all-time. And airheads whores like Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian are idolized as role models. Americans now care more about Image than Substance. They waste their money on gas-guzzling cars like SUVs which they don't need (ironically while fuel prices for cars are higher than ever before in the history of automobiles!), buy frigging Bottled Water because they think tap water is poison, and walk around in circles on streets yap-yap-yapping in cell phones when they're not BSing at Starbucks (apparently the only place in town where suitable coffee is served for some reason). In my town they don't even build small or moderately-sized homes anymore--they build multi-million dollar McMansions which could house a Dozen families each but house one very single-minded rich breed of snobs. The middle class is being crunched down between the poor and the rich. I'm out of a job now for Over 3 Years because my job no longer Exists in this country. It was sent overseas or to Mexico, depending on your point of view. And most of the people in my (once All-American) town are Koreans ever since they built a massive (tax-free!) Korean church complex a decade ago. Orientals used to be about 10% of the local populance, while today it's 50% and growing. BTW, That's not racism, that's Statistics.

No, I'm not a happy man. I'm a slowly dying one whose health insurance was terminated 3 years ago. And if it wasn't for crummy dial-up Internet access you wouldn't be reading this now.

The commission holds no international weight or recognition. The ruling will have no impact.

What is the difference between Obama and Bush?

Bush doesn't have a nobel peace prize for killing people,

Dont leave out the Clintonista's and the bombing of Bosnia prepping the ground for an oil pipeline

Isn't just wearing an American flag pin good enough?
Or one of those yellow ribbon stickers on your car "We Will Never Forget" (so much for forgiving and forgetting and letting bygones be bygones). Gotta keep that HATE alive.
Christians these days get off on walking around with crucifix necklaces and we all know they're truly God's people.

Bush and those "seven others" are laughing at this.

There is absolutely no point in declaring people "war criminals".

However it makes perfect sense to drone bomb a sleeping family and then have a headline reading "suspected militants killed".

Because if the media says so, its true.
