In the sixties they sang a song called where have all the flowers gone. About the futility of war.
But today the enemy is the economy. And where is the leadership?
Where is the guy or girl who is gonna stand up and say, yes, yes we can, we did, we always have been able to and right now, if we want it, we can do
it again. What it takes is some leadership and a 'grand vision'.
No great civilization was ever built without a grand vision. The pyramids of Egypt stand there as a testament to a great civilization.
Today my friends, lets face facts. Asia is in a position through cheap labor to dominate the workforce for years into the future along with India and
Indonesia, which together make up 4 of the 7 billion people on the planet.
If we ever hope to compete again in the west we must forge a new union. A HEMISPHERIC Union. From Alaska, to the tip of Chile. And build a high speed
rail system from tip to tip.
And build a great new capital of this new larger nation of free autonomic states. And fortify our borders and preserve our natural resources, and
develop this part of the world with our ingenuity, strength as a people and our know how. Infrastructure infrastructure infrastructure until we have
achieved our potential and reached that plateau of non polluting, efficient green modernity, that we have been striving for, for so long.
Do you not think we can build a bubble city if we wanted to? Of course we could. We could build giant statues if we wanted to. The likes of which the
world had never seen. We can have quality health care, and affordable housing, and even build to last in places where tornadoes or hurricanes are
common. We have the technology.
We just lack leadership.
