Operation Paperclip was the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) program used to recruit the scientists of Nazi Germany for employment by the United States in the aftermath of World War II (1939/45). It was executed by the Joint Intelligence Objectives Agency (JIOA), and in the context of the burgeoning SovietAmerican Cold War (1945/91) one purpose of Operation Paperclip was to deny German scientific knowledge and expertise to the USSR.

I think less than half of the members who frequent this site have a broad enough view to understand what's going on with the government. Because of their desire to point the finger at the person with power, they forget that to make an omelet, a few eggs must be broken.

And if those few eggs save the rest, so be it. That's the general mentality going on. But why is the omelet being made? And how does it benefit the rest of the eggs? What happens after the omelet is consumed?

These are the questions no one has a clear answer to. And these are the questions people are ignoring, because it's easier to accuse than it is to actually sit down and examine the entire picture.

Being that I just formally ended a stay as a doctoral student at UAH, for those that don't know, University of Alabama in Huntsville, I consider myself an authority on this topic.

No...there is no contamination of the US Government by NAZI social or political ideology.

Even though there are many people in Huntsville, Alabama that I consider to be Nazi's and would call Nazi's to their faces if I see them again, those scientists are faithful citizens and only wish to do what they do best...which is design and construct the most comically catastrophic weapons and weapons concepts mankind will ever see.

For military people; If a war breaks out...just hope your scientists have a heritage which includes the Nazi phenomenon...everyone else is just faking it.

The allies were all picking over the carcass of the nazi homeland for advantage. The soviets and the British too. For the USA to ignore the knowledge available would have been a gift to stalin and could have affected the outcome of the cold war in a negative way for the west.

Probably the worst contamination that the Nazis did with Western history was when interviewed their surviving generals to find out how the Eastern Front was fought to get an insight on the Soviets, and was feed the meme of the stupid but never ending Soviet Army and that was why they lost. we got access to both sides archives for a bit and clearer picture of the Eastern front has come out.

But with regards with the paperclip guys? I am not seeing it, I know for alot of people Nazism is shorthand for "policies I don't like" but realistically its a fascist or a cousin to a fascist movement, and the US doesn't have those characteristics last I check. We haven't a had a great leader lead us through blood and violence to achieve some romanticist utopia built on the backs of the subhumans for one.

Agreed. The Russians swooped in to Sachsenhausen and Auschwitz and captured a bunch of SS doctors with regards to Nazi bioweapons experiments and chemical weapons experiments. The Russians had gained knowledge from those they captured. Then truckloads of documents pertaining to the different bioweapons and chemical weapons that the Nazis had been experimenting with were burned by SS Dr. Verschuer. That meant that the United Kingdom, France, the United States and Russia had no way to find out what the Nazis had been doing unless they did like the Russians and got ahold of the doctors themselves involved in the experiments. That meant cutting deals with them for information-- hence Project Paperclip.

Mengele injected chemicals into the eyes of children in an attempt to change their eye color. Unfortunately a strict veil of secrecy over the experiments enabled Mengele to do his work more effectively.The full extent of his gruesome work will never be known because the records he sent to Dr. Von Verschuer at the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute were shipped out in two truckloads and destroyed by the latter.

The only thing the US government did wrong was to assume that the Russians had certain doctors which they did not have. Some of the escaped Nazi doctors fled to South America or former German colonies in Africa such as Togoland, Ghana, Cameroon, and South Africa. Those doctors that escaped continued their experiments after WWII in other countries.

Since the US assumed that the Russians had captured such SS doctors and scientists involved in biowarfare and chemical warfare.... they didn't look for them. And since they didn't look for them, the escaped doctors and scientists continued their biowarfare and chemical warfare experiments after WWII. They should have looked for all of them, not just assumed that the Russians had them.

Say Ben81 this is an interesting topic and on another post you started had a UFO video
that also applies to NAZIS contamination of the US Government in that the video contains
a similar saucer type the CIA handed over to Ernst Zundel under the Freedom Of Information.
Operation Paperclip helped institute the CIA to lord over hiding the saucer craft they started
building. The saucer images are considered unsupportable as secret information would never
be handed over for any Freedom of Information Request.

So the contamination apparently applies to lying about technology.
We can only wonder just how complete the lie is and how much the NAZI started CIA is
testing us on how much we know and how many points their agent get for fooling us.
