Well, that's it boys. All the secrets are out.

Let's close up shop. It's been a good 300 year run.

I can translate this for you if you would like.

It says: "Your bases are belong to us" "resistance is futile, you will be assimilated"

Actually that might be a bit off track. There is a way to read this book, but you would have to be very familiar with the ritual and degree work in that state in order to do so. A diligent person might be able to get 60% or so by bouncing back between many internet sources, but then without getting 100% you haven't really done anything.
I will promise all that it's nothing earth shattering or even interesting to the non mason. The secrets that everyone wants is out there in books and texts beyond the lodge. Free for any who might look for them.

Good luck with it.

Funny how quickly you can read through cipher when you've taught proficiency for very long.

So what have you found out about all of our super Masonic secrets?

Networkdudes translation was pretty accurate. He left out the part that says ' If you aren't a Mason and you read this the illuminati is coming for you soon!'

There's also a line of ritual that specifically states '. Networkdude is only allowed to imbibe tea. The rest of the fraternity may have beer, that is all.'

That's the kind of thing that I definitely don't want to read haha. When it comes to passcodes and passphrases and the deciphering of internal codes you're pretty much declaring yourself a spy. You're crazy for posting that! I love to learn about the ancient world and occult sciences and discuss ideology and religion. I wouldn't touch this book with a ten foot pole lol

I know you just posted this to add to the knowledge bin...OP I am not actually referring to you specifically here.

lighten up Frances. This isn't a big deal. It's a book that describes word for word the degrees and meetings opening on various degrees. All being based on standard business meetings and then having ritual added. It's nothing dark or dangerous and a non mason will just never get the big picture of how to read it anyway. That's kind of the point of it being a cipher. Unless you are a very bad man, you will not burst into flames for having seen it.

Reading a cipher book no more imparts the secrets of Freemasonry than having a Bible in the house makes one a Christian.

I can assure everyone the true secrets are quite safe from the profane world.

You are one up on most masons. They struggle to get through it until they are proficient in the degrees and lodge precedings.

Let me know when you get to the chapter on Balphomet. (it gets a bit raunchy)

I'm actually working on my entered apprentice degree right now and having a hard time getting though the book. I have looked at several sites to try to help though some of it but most of them are not from the state of ohio so that means there is alot missing. If any one out there has any info on a site that I could look at to get me though this book so i can turn in my work.

This is one of the biggest problems with Freemasonry today. I see it a lot. We initiate people and leave them without a mentor.

The best way to learn the ritual is to find one of the guys who signed your petition and ask him to spend time studying with you.

For me reading it, even with all the blanks filled in, doesn't do much for me. I have to practice with somebody.

No one in charge of proficiencies at your lodge? I was in charge in ours and could usually help someone memorize the entire long form in about two weeks. Fellowcraft and Master took a little longer usually. It should really be done mouth to ear though and not by reading or looking things up. Talk to your WM.

I actually do have a meeting this week with one of the guys that helped me get into the lodge. I was trying to get a step on all of this before we started but i agree with you it looks like it has to be done one on one
