Alien or Jellyfreak? Deep-sea monster vid whips up storm

rt.com

A fascinating sea creature captured in footage of unknown origin has evoked wild debate on the web. The post popular assumption so far is that the animal is a unique deep-sea jellyfish.
At first glance, the so-called “Cascade Creature” looks like a piece of a dirty mold-covered plastic bag drifting by the camera. It moves so swiftly that the operator cannot properly follow it into the depths of the water. But then it returns and poses right in front of the camera for several minutes, exposing its strikingly unusual body from every side.

I love the feeling of insignificance when we discover something like this

The universe is so vast and while we claim to know what lies under the methane lakes on Titan, we get snapped back into reality by what really lies in the depths of our oceans. What are your thought as to what this is? Is it a jelly fish? Is it a plane? Is it superman? swamp gas perhaps or Chinese lanterns? I know ...aliens? I think I've covered just about everything now,..

I don't see why this would be an alien, but it's very interesting to see what seems to be an undiscovered form of life. Thanks for sharing!

Personally, I don't care how many times it's been posted, simply because I absolutely love the term.......

Nope not after I've seen it 4 or 5 times in two days. Same video, same creature, same comments, no need to discuss it in another thread.

Really? I personally dont think that picture you posted looks anything like whats been captured on that video...

Just wanted to add a thanks to the OP. This may well of been posted multiple times but its a good job you posted again otherwise i wouldnt of known anything about this. Which is why i think people should take it easier when people post things that have already been posted.

The amount of times i've clicked on a fascinating thread only to find someone saying "Use the search button!"
