It's obvious whenever a care center for people that can't tend to themselves is put into jeopardy of closing because the state is in debt and the state is making healthcare cuts then the above title must be true.

When you start deciding to cut any facilities that benefit people because of lack of money then you have put money in front of the people on the priority list.

Checkmate.

I was just thinking about that and I must admit that money seems to take priority over people or should I say Humanity. We all live for our selves and forget that the very person you are talking to might be up S##t creek but because pride and such deems it necessary we have to put on a mask to make it seem we are alright.

Way down in side.......

Humans have always placed a value upon themselves.
The phrase "Value to society" is basically your monetary value.
Sadly.
Thus shall we sow,

Thats the state we are in now.

A persons value to society should be what they can give from themselves, not about how much money they can hoard. And by "give from themselves" i mean, give to others from their own personal knowledge, skills & experience where someone other than themselves can benefit in a positive manner.

Ex: I grow strawberry's. You grow oranges. I can help you build something for your family. You can help me dig a hole. Know what I mean? How did just trading goods and services become complicated and need to turn into the exchange of money?

Made me think of an excerpt from Noam Chomsky's Profits Before People book.

This is the wrong direction for capitalism, yet it seems inevitable when manipulated by greedy powerful people who look past common folk to numbers and bottom lines. Perhaps this part of capitalism is what Marx was referring too when he said capitalism will hang itself. Now quit it, I am not supporting Marxism, just pondering the application of his analysis on this.

you can't eat it
you can't drink it
it's not a medicine
it runs our lives
it controls us
we need it to survive
it is a control concept made real
it segregates
it dictates
without it
we're degenerates
it's everything and nothing
in one sweet yet bitter pill

it sucks

it's money.

Good morning. Second cup of coffee here.

Teach your children how to be successful AND make a lot of money.

Maybe the next generation will be be wiser than this one.

Writing now, checking inventory later.

It has been. But there's always room for improvement. Just because something has always been one certain way, don't think that it's right and that it can't or shouldn't change.

Because it can. It's up to us. The powers that be won't help. They have bigger fish to fry.

Money has been a priority for humanity for thousands of years now, but in the modern age it's become even more of a necessity.

You really can't live without it, at least not very well.

You'd essentially be living off the land in a tent without it.

Anyone care to offer up solutions to the problem?

Not really. The best thing to do is know that is the case and make adjustments accordingly. Don't expect any solutions really.

It's funny because money in the way we have it currently, is far more fictitious and illusory than the concept of a higher being. That's pretty solid. But what do people worship? Money, and it's not even there....much less "there" than the concept of a higher being in any case, just using logic. Pretty sad really but people choose that ignorance.
