Telling the OP via PM is great, however think the courtesy would be best served by just closing thread and posting reason, and moving it to a category that everyone can view the duplicates, say ATS Duplicate Threads with a description that is fitting, to resolve this issue, as this is not the first time and not the last, unless ATS helps us all out here, as nothing we can do if someone makes the mistake and says 3 people start same thread, at same time, who's thread is going to get deleted, the one' with the worse titles, or the one who started it first, as merging the threads is difficult, however in this scenario, would say a merge is in order, is within say 15 minutes or so, then everyone can just comment in one thread and OP's not going to be upset, other than the OP who's thread gets mucked up with merge, however if we look at a collaboration thread, with more than 1 OP, that be cool

then you'd get a hit, indeed.

The video is about voting fraud. A search on that did not
get me to the 'related' post, it did get me to the one that
got deleted...

What is really sad is when people are misled to believe they can learn the truth or at least explore possibilites of truth in a forum like ATS! When it seems they are hiding the truth, that is sad!

It's not a forum.

It's a means for Members to directly make complaints or suggestions to the staff about certain matters to do with the site.

and how can i search for a thread ive never seen,it was this deleted one that got my attention

I was thinking that would be the Original thread, I did not view it, because have seen CSPAN, as the title does not serve well, as the thread that was deleted, as who wants to see some of those jokers and actions, we know what most of them are into and been up to, so seeing them posing for camera is nice, however when a video comes out like this, that exposes the fraud, really deserves the attention of those concern, or need to be...

What's so tough about a simple,(we deleted this because of this) post by a mod? I know it is their site and they can do what they like but if this is the way they want to treat their members, that is not showing a lot of respect IMHO!

Post the video here for sure, just so we all can see it and know what this thread is really about, and know, that it was not the video contents agenda, it was that is was a duplicate., as now we are in a discussion about something that pertains and evidence posted here to substantiate it would be welcome, to show that ATS is not trying to hide the video from anyone, will be clear...unless of course this thread vanishes, then see you in the next one

Don't let it get you down, misunderstanding it is more or less, with moderators just doing there job and was not a censorship intentions, to conceal information from any of us, in my opinion at the moment.

The issue is with how the situation is handled, that is bringing about this vibe, that ATS really should consider alternative ways to deal with it, to insure that everyone here does not get a bad taste in their mouths over some moderation, that if handle more properly, could be avoided all together and no ones going to hurt by it and /or confused, etc

The link to the original thread, which was started yesterday has been posted on this thread. The video hasn't been deleted. The video has already been discussed and you can continue to discuss it in that thread.

How about clicking on the bolded text i put in my post and you will see what i'm taking about.

Nobody is hiding anything. The thread is there for all to read and add to.

No need not to post it here, as posting redundant videos in multiply threads is condone, is my guess, so any objection to doing so,would need to be justified more, as not like it is bandwidth or space concerns at all, and if one wanted to read the other thread and watch video, and comment on it, that is already posted, then they can go there to do so, as this thread is about the problem....and if it was a problem to use the video in this thread, then looks like we hit the nail on the head!@

Hit what nail on what head? I don't see what the problem is here. There is already a thread posted about the video in question that was started yesterday.

Duplicate threads are not permitted, they may be if one is on one forum and the other is on another i.e "Breaking News" and "Political Madness"

Also, duplicate threads or any threads for that matter, where a member just posts; "Have you seen this?" *insert video here*. Is also not permitted. You need to add your opinion and a point of discussion.

How about all of you that are complaining and screaming censorship and conspiracy go read the actual terms and conditions of this site.

i clearly stated that posting a video from youtube does not constitute a thread on this site.

i only mentioned that the search function works fine because someone was trying to lay blame on it.

i suspect the thread closure had nothing to do with search function. when its a duplicate thread that is usually stated and a link to the already open thread is provided.

i suspect mods are fed up closing threads where someone is so lazy and just simply post a youtube video.
