Yes, vitamin D is vital to our immune systems. The sun is the best source of vitamin D. Also, cod liver oil, milk (the real kind) are to name a few
other good sources for those who live in places where the sun don't shine that often.
In many industrialised countries where people work indoors for long periods of time (Canada/USA) get sick more often and easily, not to mention all
the auto immune diseases mentioned in the study above. Great for the economy but artificial in truth.
So, let's set aside the gloom and doom of ATS and go outside for a breath of fresh air and a sun bath. In the goal of returning to ATS with a
healthy, fresh and balanced mind of course.
I believe that all that we need is provided by nature and that all these fancy studies and "medical breakthroughs" are just rediscovering what was
already known.
