The Honshu quake was too far north and too small to have had much affect on Fukushima.

Trust me, I watch that place like a hawk and if the quake were large enough and close enough to have had a seriously deleterious effect on the plant, it would be all over the megathread.

There was also one in the Mid-Atlantic ridge of the same size (5.2) shortly before the one in Honshu, perhaps it was these that quakebooty was feeling

"Quakebooty"?? LMAO!!!! I think I'm gonna start calling him that from now on.

LOL, I just told him. He laughed and then suggested we go do something dirty together.

I think your hubbies 'feelings' are just out be a week...maybe he's getting his advance signals sooner now?

Last month I predicted that around April 9th to the 11th of April would see the next major quake (after a period of low activity similar to what we are experiencing now). On the 11th we had the 2 x 8+ and number of other sizeable earthquakes over the next 2 days.

On the 13th of April I predicted that things would quieten down again that there'd be no more 7+ quakes until around the 14th to 16th of May, with a proviso that if the biggie hadn't happened by the 16th, we might need ton included the next few days leading up to the 20th of May when the annual solar eclipse occurs.

Since the 13th of April to the present time there has been ZERO 7+ earthquakes.

Given that we normally experience at least one 7+ earthquake per month, the odd are good that there's one coming up...getting the time-frame right is the trick with a prediction

My initial feeling is that it's going to in the Sumatra region up till the 16th, but then due to the solar eclipse, it may happen in Northern Japan or around the Cascadia faultline.

BTW, since making my prediction, I've had one very real dream about a major earthquake during this period, and it was on the coast of South America, between Peru & Argentina. Not sure what to make of this dream as it doesn't fit my original prediction.

Let's hope that when the earthquake(s) happen, they don't involve loss of life.

If interested, my predictions last month were made on the Quake Watch thread.

Wow I think he might be right. I've had the same feeling of something northwest, it's good to see I'm not the only one. He might be able to sense ley lines, but who knows. I'll check up to see if he was right.

For the interested parties, in case you were unaware of the relevant threads, here are the links:

Quake Watch 2012 - best seismic resource on the net!

An Experiment in Alternative Methods of Earthquake Prediction - has been linked a couple of times, but I list it again for completeness

Japan declares 'nuclear emergency' after quake - this it the megathread about the Fukushima disaster

And here are a few others that might be of interest as well:

Volcano Watch 2012 ! volcanos. duh...

Tornado Watch 2012 - FS, you might want to subscribe to this one and post your wind observations here

North Atlantic Hurricane Watch 2012 - a little bit of shameless self-promotion here as I authored this thread

Anyway, there are more threads of interest as well (always) but these ones mentioned here are relevant to the topics discussed within this thread and could very easily have been overlooked by many.

A couple months ago I had this dream, my family and I were in a disaster shelter along with tons of other people. A Marine came in to tell us what was going on, and that we needed to remain calm. I found time to wander away and looked out of a broken window.. Everything was in ruins. It was chilling to me and it's what ultimately pushed me back into ATS. I had it again a couple nights ago, but in it we were hit by a tsunami while we were in the shelter. :/

As of the late I have been feeling very uneasy lately.. kind of worn down, I was attributing it to it being the end of the semester until my friend mentioned the same thing to me. It's like this feeling of something impending... Just lurking and waiting. I live in Los Angeles, so I am more or less expecting a quake. These feelings of unease though, they are new. It just feels like something is about to happen.

Thanks y'all. I know it's crazy as all get out, but he and I both have Asperger's. I don't have a clue how he feels vibrations, because his chair is sitting on a thick circular rug on top of a regular carpet, but he hasn't been wrong yet. Usually he is so absorbed in what he is doing, you could smack him upside the head with a skillet and he wouldn't notice, but when he makes a big deal about the ground vibrations...

Which begs the question, how can the ground in Texas vibrate when a tectonic plate across the globe is fixing to shift??

I can tell you but you may doubt my ideas. Your husband has a feeling on the entire planet, which is connected with the north and south poles, affected by the sun and planetary gravity changes too. Oh, and he is also connected with all the human beings on the planet which come with their own brainwaves that do travel far if you let them. I think for him, sensing them as it happens, there is some bone in his body, like a femur, that is practiced with feeling the vibrations. As elephants feel low earthwaves through their legs. He's taller than average probably. From his point of sitting, he's got a balance on the compass points and, like a spider on a web, knows when a fly is caught in the net.

When the Indonesia 8+ pointers came through, without the news it was quake weather for me too. Migraines, seasickness, dizziness. I was seriously walking like I was on a boat, losing balance, wearing my Sea-Band wrist straps and prescription strength medication didn't take the headache away. There is a mental cloud of distress that a population makes after an emergency. They call out in their minds, its a survival thing.

What is very odd what I do before big quakes is I refuse to sleep in my bed. I'll sleep on the floor by my door (6 pointer closer to home that time), I'll sleep on the couch (8 pointer far away), and if the quakepoint is directly north or south, I will get a bit mental and probably feel like having a CAT scan (6 pointer). Directly above the epicenter, I will have sensations of visions and not be oriented enough to drive, as the seismic frequency disrupts my natural brainwaves (3 pointer even). This is about 2-3 days to maybe 6-7 hours before the quake.

You know what, at the time I do that, it doesn't occur to me that it's quake related. Coincidentally, I refused to sleep in my bed last night. Aaand...I'm a little headachey today. From my chair, I'm midwest and facing north, the disturbance is coming from my northwest, so maybe ...San Francisco? 6-something-ish? Let's find out!

Maybe it's silly to keep this going, but yesterday and all through last night it was the quietest I've ever noticed in my area of north los angeles county. Literally not an ounce of breeze, just utter stillness, which is abnormal living in a gust prone area.. So eerie, like something was up with the earth. I kept waking up through the night and my 3 dogs kept going outside, again unusual, and just messing around, like they were wide awake, about the same time the cat started romping down the hallway. I feel that something big is coming, (granted I'm always wrong).

I had a nightmare that it happened tonight. Im not trying to scare anyone and it was a stupid dream. But if it means anything to anyone, dont panic. Maybe pray to God, even if you dont believe. Imagine if some crap went down, but you had never believed in God, but the night before you prayed, and saved your and your families souls. It sucks to be sacred, but at least you would have salvation. GOD IS REAL, I PROMISE.

I just came from another thread that was talking about a mega earthquake predicted to happen May 20, 2012, the date the Earth, Moon, Sun, and the Pleiades will be in alignment.
This date was also predicted by the Mayans, and Nostradamus for a mega quake!
I went back to flag that thread, but couldn't find it.... strange! Anyway, I did bookmark one of the links on the thread. You can read more about it here: human-spirit-truth.blogspot.com.au...

Best to get prepared with food and water... just in case!

Booty Meter strikes again....

BREAKING NEWS

3.7 earthquake hits East Texas
Posted: May 10, 2012 11:36 AM EDT Updated: May 10, 2012 11:48 AM EDT

SHELBY COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

Residents in Shelby County and Nacogdoches County got a shaking surprise Thursday morning when a 3.7 earthquake hit southwest of Timpson.

The US Geological Society reports the earthquake hit around 10:15 a.m.

Nacogdoches County resident Fran Rosenberger said she was sitting at her table on County Road 816 when the earthquake hit. She said her house moved from north to south and lasted about 10 seconds. Nothing fell off of her wall, she said.

USGS reports the earthquake was centered about one mile west of Timpson.

mmmmh, okay.

Not quite a big one.
I'm not totally discounting the 'booty meter', just saying that I expected a bigger quake.

I have not had time to read all the replies to the OP, but if the quake were described as BIG and IMMINENT I might be interested but BIG and EMINENT does not move me.

Yeah, the eminent vs immanent discussion has already been hashed over several times.

And I usually like your posts, not this time though.

i think it's significant because Fission is IN TEXAS. her husbands normal predictions are for quakes that are big and far away. this one was close. makes sense he'd feel a smaller one so close to home. we don't normally get quakes in texas.......
