How about they help themselves and open and IRA or 401k and become millionaires by the time they retire
What if you live paycheck to paycheck? SS benefits are automatically taken out of your check, a lot of people do not have excess money to put into a 401k.
People that paid into SS their whole life aren't entitled to draw from it once they reach 65?
What if one just becomes permanently disabled at a young age? Should they not be able to draw SS? Just let them go crawl in a tunnel and die because they do not have the money to support themselves, in a first world country?
Why aren't you complaining about the military budget? Why are you defending corporate welfare? Corporations that pay no taxes? If you truly had a problem with "parasitical programs" you would complain about all of these equally.
Then yo08 turn around and say it's a terrible investment, and say people should put all their money into the stock market, even though tens of thousands lost their ENTIRE 401K in the crash of 08.
neo here is a prime example of "team politics" and whats wrong with America.. Some people dont care about what is right or what maybe best for the American people. They only care about the team ideals and things are chalked up to "taking one for the team".

Social Security is an entitlement program for the simple fact You pay 6% into that per year the employer pays another 6% which breaks down to someone who is making 35 grand a year means they paid a whopping $2,100 in that year for however long they work. The employer matched that at another $2,100 and yet people get out far more than they ever paid in. That is an entitlement since your getting paid back more than you ever paid in.
a 15 trillion dollar deficit over 120 trillion of promises made on the backs of the next generation and leaving them with a bigger problem than from where we started. Yeah some people don't care.
