Newt is stepping down officially today
This dude has been around a long time.
He has influenced the party for decades
His bid for POTUS comes to an end.
Like most of these the skeletons are their worst enemies.
That's why Barry got in he only had a hand full.
ATS I am sure is very interested in this sensation.
Or not.

The best ljb

Glad he's out. Him and santorum are a waste of oxygen and calories. If Romney has the testicles to debate Ron Paul 1 on 1 then let's see it.

Newt is no fool. He was never in this to win. It was just a huge PR campaign to keep him on the
conservative lecture tour, sell books, and keep his name in the limelight for future teaching gigs.

Think he might have also perhaps pocketed some of those campaign contributions?

Hi sol,
Poor ole Newt. Such a roller-coaster rider.
I once saw him hold the railing with his teeth and make the Nixon V sign with both hands.
lol Cheers ljb

Hi sea,
That he is not. Win maybe. He had no competition except Ron.
But alas it looks like the big fat Country Clubwill maintain the power.
With a little newer blood than poor ole Newts.
The whole race smells like the dog track at Hialea.

I mean.... look at this

Those are huge massive crowds he is gathering, MASSIVE

I don't know how he is drawing that large of a crowd during a media blackout
Doesn't that give you guys hope?

Imagine if the media gave RP the coverage he deserved, he would be unstoppable!

i stopped taking this guy seriously back in the 90's...he should personally pay back all the hard earned money that people gave him for his campaign. the exception is his billionaire butt buddy, that guy throwing his money down the drain backing newt makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.

Hi jim,
I almost posted out the same thoughts but my mind thankfully regressed to lessons of yester youth.
"Buyer Beware"
And I thought that is what this, TAXATION with false REPresentation is all about.
YOU get what you pay for.
Nope that last quote don't work here.

This surprised me because I thought Gingrich dropped out about a week ago.

This could get very interesting. Paul's strategy has been to win the nomination in a brokered convention. Now that there are only two left and the RNC apparently doesn't hold delegates to a binding position, I think Paul could take the nomination outright.

If that happens, the big kaboom you'll hear will be Republican heads exploding all at once.

Hi n3k,
Quite interesting.
Could you post some sort of delegate logic here concerning the nearing of the end of the campaign trail.
You know like something more laws and rules..
Mostly for me a long time political dropout.
Thanks and cheers ljb
