Mitt Romney may be the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, but Rep. Ron Paul of Texas is quietly racking up some organizational victories that could complicate Mr. Romney’s anticipated coronation at the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Fla., this summer.

Exploiting party rules, loyalists for the libertarian congressman from Texas in recent days have engineered post-primary organizing coups in states such as Louisiana and Alaska, confirming what party regulars say would be an effort to grab an outsized role in the convention and the party’s platform deliberations.

Well, the goods news is that are are acknowledging that he exists, but take a look at some of the biased language in this article:

  1. Exploiting party rules
  2. loyalists for the libertarian congressman from Texas
  3. helped block more than half of Mr. Romney’s preferred nominees
  4. attempts to replace them with Paulites
  5. Mr. Paul could conceivably help deny Mr. Romney (he's a Dr. not a Mr.)

the media and their word play.

So sad media.....so sad!!

People are easliy swayed by well placed words.
They can turn an udderly joyess occasion to a completely horrible corruption.

With Newt G. out of the race now. I have a feeling we arent goin to see alot of campaign news anymore. when people notice there isnt much political news, the media will easily pawn it off as, "what did you want us to cover? Mitt Romney was the only one left......what? ....who's Ron Paul?"

Shame on you media.

He plays by different rules in that he is not completely bought and paid for by some combination of corporations and/or labor unions. But he does have to play by the same election rules as the other candidates. He seems to be doing that very skillfully recently.

From my thread 'Ron Paul Backers Plan Takeover'
The Thread

“There is no other campaign that feels the need to poke the party in the eye like the Ron Paul campaign,” King County GOP chairwoman Lori Sotelo told the Times. “For heaven’s sake stop hitting us with a fire hose.”

Yea, let them whine, and cry. Their irresponsible leadership is the cause for this takeover... They should of done something themselves instead of staying silent and following the status quo... this is what happens when your party loses its way. It will be taken back to its original intended roots!

I really would like to go to Tampa just so I can stand as close to the convention as I can and yell PRESIDENT PAUL until my voice gives out. Maybe take a recorder so I can keep going when it does.

Politicians have been exploiting party rules for their own personal gain since the beginning to time. When they can not.. they have made new rules which allow them to do so. Now that they are being beat at their game, that they created, they want to cry foul

Meanwhile.... the GOP has broken their own rules in an attempt to prevent Paul from getting anywhere near the Convention, but the MSM won't tell you that.

So because he is doing well in the election, they make him sound like hes doing a bad thing.

One word.

Acclamation.

And then we will hear all the Ron Paul supporters cry about how it wasn't "fair"...even though it is exploitation of the very same rules he is exploiting.

It's not moved at all...I don't buy into the Ron Paul cults dogma that they are going to unbind delegates or abstain from voting.

But if they could do that...it doesn't matter because Romney's supporters will just call for a nomination by acclamation...and with Boenher as the chairperson...they "Ayes" will definately have it.

But continue to entertain yourselves.

That's not the point. In a fixed system, the chosen person becomes the winner. It is very clear that Romney is the chosen one. However, part of their game relies on making people think that Paul (and the ideas he stands for) is a loser and who wants to vote for a loser (this goes far beyond the current Romney/Paul discussion.)

The way that they have dealt with Paul is to pretend that he doesn't exist, regardless of the fact that his rallies routinely outdraw his competitors. In doing so they avoid discussions of the support that he does have from people who realize that he is the only one saying something different than "continue the status quo, which is working out really well for everyone."

If Paul messes with Romneys "coronation" (actual word used by media, which should tell you something right there) in any way, creating the need for a brokered convention or acclimation, the illusion that a significant enough number don't support Paul will be forever broken because he would have a significant enough amount of support to spoil the outright "mandate coronation" of the candidate "everybody" is supposed to support. Enough to make the people question the next time there is a candidate being actively ignored. Enough to open peoples eyes that more people than they were told support the real change that Paul represents. Even if Paul loses the nomination he wins, especially with the egg on the face of garnering a larger number of delegates "than expected."

As for the OP, yes, propagandistically strong, emotionally laden, wording that, as others have said, he is beating them at their game using their rules and now they are whining about it.

Ron Paul knows the system is fixed and Romney was their oick all aliong. He is trying to show us the corruptnees that is in the election process. He knows the rules and he is using them to his advantage. Go RP!!

I find it funny that the judge was sent home months ago because they knew this might be coming and he was a voice for RP. As i watch the news not very often anymore I notice Romney is the only candidate left for the gen election. no mention of the good DR
