It seems that young billionaire Mark Zuckerberg is at it again trying to turn Facebook into something it doesnt need to be. I will say its somewhat admirable to see him putting himself out there to help solve a worthy cause, which s organ donations, but I dont understand why Facebook has to keep changing its image, why cant it just be what it is, a social media site where friends can conenct?? Anyways, the whole idea is to share that you're an organ donor on your profile hopefully getting others, who arent, to register. What I dont like is that they are trying to use social pressure to get people to register. Once again, I believe this is an admirable thing to do (in theory), but one thing that is confusing me is he calling this a crisis to solve? Roughly 18 people a day die on average from not receiving organ transplants on time, is that a crisis? Roughly 25000 people die each day due to hunger. Now that's a crisis.... I wish Zuckerberg would tackle a bigger issue like hunger, instead of one thats being handled pretty well, (79 people receive transplants each day, 18 die)....

Anyways, do you think Facebook should keep prying into our lives or not? What do you think of this idea?

Isn't that what the back of our drivers license is for?

Does that system suddenly not work anymore? How about wills, do people not put that in their wills as well?

All I see coming out of this is a method for the black market to get involved and use this to their advantage.

Yea, it seemed like they had a good system, but it looks like Mr. Zuckerberg is looking to put whether you are or are not a donor on Facebook.... I guess he is running out of ideas...

Yep. I can see that.

Is the novelty of fb finally wearing off and the people are becoming bored with it so anything and everything is done to maintain the masses attention for just a bit longer?

I actually think Facebook is blocked in China... That was one of the last great hurdles for Zuckerberg, beacuse China could roughly double the users once they're allowed...

if you donate a organ you get a form of immortality as that person will get your memories and your habits.

it is called cellular memory and most "stick in the mud brain dead mind closed to all new ideas until they are dead old fuddy duddy"scientists deny it exists but too many recorded and documented cases exist which show the receiver of the organ acquiring the different characteristics, memories and habits of the organ donor.

so this could be a way of becoming immortal.

Well immortal, until the person you donated your body parts to dies....haha..... But who knows, maybe it will set off a chain reaction where they then donate the body organs and you do ultimately live forever....interesting...

There are huge sums of money to be made from organs. I wouldn't trust Facebook with this one bit, especially with their reputation! They can make this data available to a third party who will identify you as a target, create a car accident or similar, then make over $100,000 for your organs.

Do not trust the organ trade business, it's a mafia out there. They have been caught out in Haiti harvesting organs, they have also flown children out of Africa "To educate them", the children were never seen again.

Keep in mind that for one set of organs these criminals can make themselves a lot more than most people make in a year, this is a huge temptation for some.

This news reporter has no idea of the crime against humanity that she's just stumbled upon
