I wouldn't be too sure. Australia and Britain have it far worse than the USA. Australia has had the newly passed US laws (NDAA for example) for the past 10 years, with gun bans going on 20. Britain has cameras with micrphones on every street corner.

I'm afraid it's far from safe. People need to search alternate places for fukushima news. We're all in as much danger as the day they blew their roofs off. As time ticks on and nothing is done with the structure and SFP's the risk rises immensely. They are a vary proud people and need to get past that and have all the world specialists there assessing the situation and a plan of action. It's far from over.

And this is not fear mongering, it's awareness.
