Survivalist Hiding In Bunker Surrounded by Police

There are millions of visitors to this site. I honestly don't care if he was a visitor here, since there are plenty of loonies on here. What I do care about is the fact they believe he killed his wife and daughter. If that is true they need to drop a bunker buster warhead on his sorry ***!

I'll just pull up his pictures on the cell phone, ask a few of the guys behind the counter. If he was serious about shooting, he went to my range. Best in the state. Haven't been for a few weeks, interested now. Heard on the radio he picked up some suppressors too. Guy that short, buying tons o guns would get noticed. Don't know anywhere to pick up body armor though. Maybe he did that online.

Let me guest another Bill Cooper in the making... They heard he had a secret location through some legally abused technological means... They waited until he go camp there or do some drills with his wife and kids to teach them the ways of the bush... The cops waited until no one was there and made a fake annonymous call saying they suspected this dude was crazy and had killed his kid and wife and was fortified and heavily armed in a 4-5 level bunker...

They'll move in on him he'll see a swat team coming out of nowhere for no reason unknowing of whats going on he'll jump on his guns and he'll think he's protecting the family...

The news will announce the police received an annonymous call of a guy that killed his family and fled to the woods or had them as hostage there... they went to investigate and where shot at and had to bring in the SWAT... sadly he killed his family than turned the gun on himself and shot himself in the head at a weird angle with a government issued ammo...

The news will paint Satan, when he was trying to do what everyone should do when you don't know what tomorrow will bring... a fkin "plan B"...

I wonder how long they'll take to link it to terrorism in the making through some half a$$ baked story that doesn't hold ground...

Read the article. He is a suspect after his wife, daughter, and pets were killed and the house burned down. He was not initially a suspect. He became one when it was found the wife and daughter both died from gunshot wounds to the head. The neighbors were quick to call the fire department, and the blaze was put out before all the gas cans around the home had a chance to be ignited.

I'm all for innocence until proven guilty, but lets not martyr this guy just yet. It sounds like you are anticipating another Waco or Ruby Ridge. Not the case. At this point he has had enough time to realize the people outside are actually police. He should surrender. No need to protect himself. His family and pets are already dead and burned so he's not protecting them.

That is good news. ATS has had a few crazies, though not as many as I would have guessed. I can think of 2... I may be missing a few. Even 20 crazies in the news linked to this site would seem pretty low to me. Big site, tons of members, tons of forums.

I think when I go to the gun club tomorrow I'm going to ask a few staff members if they recognize the guy. About 20 minutes away from where this guy is apparently holed up.

20 minutes is pretty close. There aren't too many gun clubs around one area, they aren't like Starbucks. I'd say you have an excellent chance of finding a person who knows this man.

That would be really interesting and a huge contribution to the story.

I've been checking but the articles coming out the past hour are all just a rehash of information in the original article posted. I do find some of the quotes by the police to be funny (odd, not haha).

Surely, if it has occurred to us here on ATS that the guy might have an alternate exit, it has also occurred to the police? Source CNN.

I believe those photos are actually from his hard drive, or other medium.

The police photos are of lower quality and the bunker pics also show construction materials nearby. It seems to be a shored wall bunker, lined with plastic.. he will cook in there and as another poster indicated, probably suffer chemical burns by now.

If he has had 8 years to prep for an event, and he is indeed mentally "damaged" (As indicated by the murders, if indeed he is guilty) I would expect him to go out shooting. If he has no way out of there, I would suspect he at least has a "safe room", who knows how long he can hold out though. A concealed oxygen filter and pump and a safe area? There is only one way the police are coming out of this unscathed and that is to send in the military (or maybe bulldoze the whole thing and dig the body out in a week). I guess they will wear him down with teargas and shock grenades, at very least wear him down before moving in.

I am not 100% sure of this but....I watch the show "preppers" on natgeo and I swear I remember this guy from the show. It was when I saw the pics of his bunker door that my wife and I remembered seeing one like it. Maybe I will search youtube and see if I can find the episode.

Don't forget, yes we may be sane and just interested / excited to shed some know how into making a shelter for yourself or others. But there are many mental illnesses that co-inside with these kinda preperations as well.

This was a direct tactic to soil survivalists name, it's prolly just a guy whos not discovered to be a lil far fetched.
I like surviving and that stuff as much as the next guy, but guess what, reality hasn't allowed me to actually go forth and build a bunker, I have kids and a wife, and a bunker is kinda an obsession. food for thought

What if he escaped out a rear exit, i bet he has an escape route and is watching the news to see where the cops are and will exit out a different way.

Here comes a crackdown on survivalists.
What if he went to the bunker started the fire that the helped the police find it, and then he just left and was states away? If he wasn't completely bonkers that would be the way to get away, however I would say he is most likely in there.. loony as hell.
