Bruin's fans' racist comments

Bruins fans disgraced themselves and their city last night by barraging Twitter with racist comments after Joel Ward, scored in overtime of game 7 to eliminate Boston. Ward is an African American player for the Washington Capitals.

I have always said that Bruin's fans are the most classless fans in the NHL and this is an example why. And yet they are always the first to call out other team's fans, Vancouver fans for instance. I know it is not everyone but still it is truly pathetic and disgusting.

At least the Bruins issued a statement today denouncing the comments:

"The Bruins are very disappointed by the racist comments that were made following the game last night. These classless, ignorant views are in no way a reflection of anyone associated with the Bruins organization."

Better than tearing up the city like the Canucks last year but still not right. They're just sad a black guy scored the last goal in OT. When will people realize these are just sports?

I thought it was a pretty awesome shot and he had himself in good position to score, good up on him and the caps. You can't win every year. To each their own.
