Simple buy an Island and move your own possessions there, and fish for good food and have some food imported that you like. You would have all your supplies, no one would bother you. Set up solar grid and water filtration system. so you have the creature comforts and live life to the fullest. No thugs robbing you, No TSA raping you, no parking tickets, no GMO foods. You have an unlimited supply of fish. Grow your peppers, and you could use sea salt for flavoring.

So basically This is your setup:

Nice large toolset
Solar
Water filtration
Chickens for eggs and meat. Eggs are so diverse and you could do so much with them. You can have them for breakfast, and lunch etc.
Grow onions, peppers, corriander, potatoes, tomatoes and some more herbs
Fish for food
Live happy and healthy

Side note: The man is 86years old, but looks 50!

Sure, you could power it, but where would the access itself come from? Wouldn't you still have to pay someone somewhere?

There would definitely be sacrifices but it could be well worth it. I would be worried for defense. If pirates or drug lords stopped by he'd be screwed. I also doubt he can sew his own clothes or provide doctor/surgery services.

Yea sure you could, yea the payment thing is the only option, maybe you could make a deal with the government from where you bought it for the internet or something. Yea that is the hardest thing, how to pay for it. Must have a good amount of credit savings to pay for years of internet.

I have always told my family that if I ever win the lotto I will buy my own island and live there for the rest of my life. I have a whole system of defense planned that includes a moat, poop throwing monkeys and booby traps. I hope I win the lotto soon!!!!

Paid for £8,000 in 1962. It is certainly doable even these days. I mean who wants to work two minimum wage jobs these days and pay rent and gas with atrocious living situations.

I can not even begin to put into words how much I envy this guy...

That dude is living the dream of almost everyone on the planet which is to live their life in peace and happiness and be king of their own domain without having to answer to any big government.

Most people on Earth are good people that just want to be left alone a raise their families and be happy. It's these greedy big governments that start all these wars and want want want resources from anywhere they can get their hands on.

This man has lived a good, virtually stress free life and it shows by how young he looks for his age.
No stress and a healthy diet = longevity.
