Have you seen this one?

Recorded just 4 years after the event.

The first couple minutes seemed to have trouble buffering ....let it queue up for a few min

Seems to me this special makes it out to be ETs ..... they put in some skeptics, but the overall vibe from that special was that something out of this world happened that night.

Yes, it was good to see the CNN "Special Assignment" item by Chuck DeCaro appear online a few weeks ago. I'd read about it, but not seen it before then.

I'll be including it in a list of Rendlesham documentaries that I'm compiling, most of which are available online (with the frustrating exception of the one in the title of this thread...).

Hi Isaac. Just saw this thread.

I just checked it and I have it. Not the best copy in the world as the Youtube upload had very small resolution, but it will do.

This example shows the importance of offline archives. By the dates of my archives, I grabbed it during August 2010.

I'll contact you directly.

Best Wishes.

As I've said by email already, many thanks for your help. I appreciate it.

With that item now ticked off my list tonight, I think I've now seen all the broadcast documentaries that have been devoted to the Rendlesham Forest Incident (with one possible exception) and most of the documentaries that featured a segment on this incident.

Taken together with the books and documents I've collated, I've now almost finished the foundation I want to build before asking a few questions...

I hope to have some material to share shortly.

IsaacKoi,

If you can get hold of Andrew Pike's book "The Rendlesham File" it will be well worth it. There are not many copies about but I found it by far the best.

He has retired now, so I don't think he will update it but it runs chronologically from the summer of 1980 to 2005 which covers the main part of the case. It is very scientific (he's an astrophysicist) but is written in a manner suitabkle for the general reader, if you can get through the plasma physics, electromagnetics and black budget science (especially chapter 6 - Plasma Physics) you'll get a good understanding of what was happening, from the scientific viewpoint.

There's a documentary something like "Rendlesham revisited" was made and shown by the History channel and Thurkettle, on camera, admits when Halt shows him where his sighting took place. "You cannot see the lighthouse from here" So Thurkettle's whole contribution to the 2003 documentary is utterly pointless, as he was in the wrong place.

As for Ridpath, possibly one of the most stupid people ever to be involved with Ufology. I say stupid, because the only other explanation is that he is just and out and out liar and abuser of data..

Firemoon - I think that was called "UFO Invasion at Rendlesham" a Sci-Fi channel production (before it became SyFy).

It's on youtube in it's entirety here:

There was a great site covering Rendlesham that has been gone over a year now. The forum posts were perhaps the most interesting as Larry Warren, Jim Penniston, John Burroughs, Steve La Plume posted a number of times on the forum as did some of the local witnesses and even Mr. Ridpath engaged in debate. Something he avoids doing via the mainstream media on most occasions.

There is still a web capture of it here:

web.archive.org... and then search for "http://rendlesham-incident.co.uk"

I would suggest that anyone who has a deep interest in the Rendlesham case to make use of this archive if you were not already aware of it.
