Anyone know how to bypass the Grub Boot to boot from CD?

As I mentioned, it's way past my bedtime. I have to be up early. I'll check in tomorrow morning. If you haven't solved it, I'll think of something else. For now, good night, everybody....

If GRUB is coming up then you are hitting F2 too late.

I know how to get into Bios, Grub is being stubborn. I think it might be the CD drive.

It could also be that the CD you are using actually uses grub or there is a default timeout prompt. Windows CD does it, press a key within 3 seconds to boot from CD. Glad to hear you got in the BIOS though.

No I didn't get into Bios, I did however solve the problem, took out the drive and popped a new one in.

There done.

Early a.m. Hmmm.

Actually I was going to suggest something like that, but most people don't have another disk lying around.

Well, whatever works, I always say....

Looks like the restore disk is corrupted. Figures.

Always something.

So, I'm going to order a new one.

Keeps stalling in one particular spot.

Try pressing F12 at post, and see if that doesn't get you to a boot screen.
