It's been quite hot here in Eastern Wa the last few days as well, though supposedly will cool off tomorrow. But we're going into an ice age, didn't you hear?

We hit 102 yesterday and I think 100 today in Glendale,AZ. Was hoping to stay below the century mark alittle longer.

Have you had a lot of Chemtrails ( or Contrails, whatever you want to call them ) in the sky for a week straight or more, I know here in Los Angeles Calif, it has happened many times. ?

No contrails lately here, fairly clear skies. Yes it's been pretty warm in Vegas and I'm still new to the area so figured it was normal - Until I noticed that we have had a few records broken lately as the OP mentioned.

You think that is unusual it was 87 here in my yard today and I am in Montana. Most of the state was in the upper 80's and even hit 90 in some places.

www.wrh.noaa.gov...

This is not normal for April in Montana. The lilacs are about to flower and that does not usually happen until May 15 or so. My lawn is crunching under my feet because it has been so dry this Spring. Boy I hope this is not what the Summer is going to be like or my whole state will be burning!

Wow thats Crazy!! We also never quite had a REAL winter.. Believe it or not in the Winter even here in Vegas we get into the 30's and get ice on the sidewalks and all that. Not last Winter.. Winter felt like Spring, and some parts of Spring have felt like Summer..

I thought They were blocking the sun in Washington state ? Do you mean that the sun was shining in your part of the state and those evil B's are blocking the sun in other parts of the state...how dare they...and I guess now they have redirected the sun to blast Las Vegas to extreme heat. I bet its not too out of the ordinary for the desert to go from hot to cold so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I am in Kentucky and last week it was hot and in the upper 80's...I rarely wear shorts as I am always cold but I was in shorts all day outside playing golf...today and yesterday it was freaking freezing again...like way too cold for me...only 38...but too cold for me.

The weather changes...just like snow on the east coast today and 80's last week with trees blooming way before they normally do...just normal patterns...the record for April is 100 with the record low being minus 80...the average April temp is 78 so not sure different...and it was 62 years ago the high reached 99 in April in vegas...the record low for April is 38...just cycles

High temp Monday in Vegas was 98. Ties the record high back in 1950.

It's just a heat wave, with your high dropping back down to 82 by Friday.

We had snow in the mountains here in Tucson on Saturday the 14th. 8 days later and its 101 degrees. Last time it was like this was in 1989 (when it hit 104 two days in a row).

Gotta love spring temperature swings.

It is going to be a long hot one in Arizona this summer. I have been telling my family all Winter that this summer is going to be Biblical in Arizona.

I'm sweating like a pig already here. Though we did get a record, upper 90's isn't exactly not normal for vegas. We came here for vacation over 20 years ago and it was nearly as hot during april, and another year it was 60's. All in all pretty normal.

Not the first time AZ has had temps that high.

In the early 90's they closed the airport due to tires and asphalt melting. Good times.

I thought "Chemtrails" were to block the sun and make it cooler. Guess they can be blamed for everything these days. It has been cool here in SC, no chemtrails here either.
