Hi Numinousness, I think setting your intention before you start your GR session is really all you need to do. I honestly don't worry too much about encountering negative entities, whether it's on the GR, on paranormal investigations, or when I do psychic readings for people, because I have set my intention beforehand that the Universe will protect me and that the greater good of everyone will be served. If I do encounter something a bit dark, it's my belief that I am making contact with it because I need to help it in some way.

Believe it or not, some people go into these situations thinking, I want to have the sh*t scared out of me. In which case, they usually do. You sound like you're approaching all of this with the best of intentions, and that's what you will get in return. I'm sure your loved ones appreciate your attempts to contact them.

I got one of my co workers to download the ghost app yesterday. He was telling me about it this morning, it is already freaking him out!

I am actually amazed at how well these things work for some people.

Yeah, he said it was a quiet app until his kids went to bed, then it started going off, the thing that freaked him out wasnt the blips or the random words, it was his initials which it started to display down where it does the random scanning, instead of it scanning a bunch of random letters and numbers it kept running JBJBJBJBJBJBJBJBJBJBJBJBJBJB..... which is his initials.

Here is the last few days of running it, I have to look over the list yet to see if anything profound sticks out. I was talking about spells and poetry last night when it spit out priest, and when I was in a thread and reading a post about reincarnation it said great-grandmother but I'll have to look over the the rest of the list.
Also when my wife was in the kitchen trying to find something for a toothache it said teeth...

Yup. Mega-Quake @ Noon on June 15th., 2012...(Epicenter maybe in Greece, China...or Peru).

I also got Greece, on May 29 at 12:47am.

The GR app on my tablet updated last night to a 3.3.8 version called 'Legacy' with a new gold icon. Does anybody know if it has any new features or changes in this latest version ? I'm running the paid version by the way, not sure if that makes a difference.

This is kind of interesting. I have had the GR running for a couple of hours, and was telling my husband and daughter about an article I just read on researchers possibly finding a jar of freckle cream on the island where Amelia Earhart might have landed.

Among the words I got:

Pacific

I did say the word jar out loud, but not Pacific.

I've had a couple of much less freaky, but still very curious incidents with mine. I live in an old movie palace that was built in the 20s & there have been plenty of crazy events throughout the years, including a young man just dying accidentally earlier this year on my floor.

So the night I got the app, I was sitting in the kitchen at around 10pm with my roommate. We were making blueberry muffins & checking out the Ghost Radar for giggles. As soon as the timer went off for the blueberry muffins, the radar said "breakfast", like it was announcing that our breakfast food was ready. Okay, no big right? Just a funny coincidence. Then the radar said the name of the theatre we live in, which is not just some frequently used word. We are easily spooked, so I turned it off at that point.

Later that night, my jewelry case was rattling, despite no fans being on or windows being open. Needless to say, I only use the radar in public spaces now, not my own home!

All of these new G.R. stories have inspired me to break it out again. Last night it freaked me out again.
I had it on in the livingroom for about an hour and got the usual series of random words...followed by a quiet period of no activity. Around 11 pm. I walked out onto my deck and it immediatedly came alive again.

What was odd, was that the last couple of times that I came out onto my deck at night with my G.R., it immediately came to life by initially calling out my first name "Thomas"...and last night was no exception.

After hearing my name called out...(and getting chills)...I responded by asking: "Who are YOU?". As soon as the question was out of my mouth, it responded: "friend"!

Getting even more chills, I asked it in return: "Are you MY friend?"...

Again, as soon as the words were out of my mouth, it responded: "yes"!

Okay, now I'm completely spooked...and asked it: "WHY are you contacting me?".

It quickly responded with the word: "missing".

After that...it went quiet again...and would not respond to any other questions; including my asking it who this 'friend' was.

Holy moley, IAMTAT!!! That was a whole conversation! Thanks for sharing, am turning mine on now....
