Geez... Big cross you carry. I was raised in a highly religiuos (both my grandparents were ministers) family and now call myself an atheist. You unfortunately are living your life through written words conjoured by self-serving authors. Please do some research on Biblical text and do not follow along blindly.

As an atheist and a good kind person, am I to be sent to hell by your fair and just God? Surely people should be judged on their actions in life not their beliefs. In your eyes, does the Christian hypocrite deserve eternal salvation? And do I suffer in hell...

All mortals suffer in hell

Do you enjoy endless human suffering?

The christian hell you speak of might be right on your doorstep.

Hope you understand we're already in hell!

I reject the idea that god dictated the first 5 books of the bible to Moses. The bible is written by and for men. This geneology flies in the face of true science. Men never have lived for hundreds of years. Archeology shows that early mans' lives were short.

Moses was a very educated person in Egypt's religion and sciences. His books are a reflection of the god's and the science of the times.

Your ignorance's and bigotries show clearly through your post. If one wanted to actually entertain a secular conspiracy theory in regards to the origin of the Bible, one could clearly see that the Bible favors women in many, many way's.

1) Protections in the Bible of women when they are on their period and also after they gave birth.

2) Strict control of male sexuality(for the benefit of women)

3) Protection incase of unlawful abandonment

4)(this applies to society in general): The first forms of social welfare. As offerings made to the God of Abraham where supposed to be in the form of aid to the poor: sharing your table with others, as well as allowing the poor to pick through a farmers fields(only for immediate subsistence).

But I guess actually reading, and thinking over the text would get in the way of a good old hate rant.

FATHER knows best... Seriously, why don't you form your own opinion instead of trying to interpret ancient elders text related to a tiny village in the Middle East? Get real.

I take that as meaning that the sin price of the fall affected all animals.

But then you have to ask, which animals goto Paradise? Obviously humans, our brothers - chimps, apes, and other mammals horses, giraffes, zebras, lions, tigers, cats, dogs, etc

I doubt fish/sea creatures are in Heaven, and they aren't the same as mammals, and I doubt creeping things are in heaven either (worms, maggots, bugs, insects, amoeba, species with no CNS/brain/soul/spirit, just mechanical little machines, no substance to em, no personality)

I for one am relieved to know my dog can get in too. I really don't think I'd wanna go anywhere he couldn't go too. I feel better now, really.... I do

How vulnerable are you? I just shot my 16 year olld cattle dog cause her legs gave out. Not easy, but necessary.

Heaven for Dogs?

Well...

You should not worry about the dog.

That's as scriptural as it gets.

Hope you don't worry,

Mr medinet

Here's as "Scriptual" as it gets. I miss my beloved dog. She had a good life and was in pain. I sadly had to shoot her. She never saw it coming.

You don't understand life and death. You live a self-imposed "coveted" pretend life.

Back off, he's a babe in Christ still trying to iron out his theology, I'm talking to him via u2u. New converts are not heretics if they mess things up at first in the process of discipleship.

I never said he was......did you? I was just asking him a question. Re read my post.

Do you ever speak in the spirit of Ephesians 4:15?

Of course, my question was speaking the truth in love. The TRUTH is the word of God don't you know.....and I asked him in love. If I wanted to rebuke him I would have.

Why do you care what others believe? How does that diminish your quality of life? What other civil rights besides the first amendment do you wish to deny others? Do you want blacks to go to the back of the bus and have their own drinking fountains? Do you not want women to vote? Do you want anyone else besides me not to have freedom of speech?

You go out and get a life, I'm not the one measuring my quality of life by what others choose to believe or not believe or what ANYONE says. And life is grand!

Take care now.

Your tone was harsh, that's not exhortation. Be mindful of your tone brother. Not everyone deserves a rebuke. babes certainly don't, follow Paul's model and you will do well. Just be mindful of your tone. Often it comes off as aggressive with your brothers. Here's a good quote from Martin Luther:

"Once cannot be too aggressive with the wolves, and I think it not possible to be too gentle with the sheep."

You gotta let rebukes come from people who have spiritual authority, people called to the office of pastor, apostle or prophet. That's the Biblical chain of authority. Just love my good man, and if a brother sins against you challenge him in private.

In Him,

NuT

I'm leaning your way KJV1611.
Not sure what my "way" is...unless it is following John 14:6....but thanks I guess.

I also think that the interpretation is faulty, but I want to try to understand the premise ? It just isn't jelling for me...
What is not "falling into place" for you? What is not jelling for you? Maybe I can help you out? And if not me, there are many other smart Christians on here. (well, maybe not MANY....but there are a few good ones out there)

Alright, I'll give you that point, that I am harsh from time to time. But I think it is MUCH better to be TOO harsh, than to be TOO soft! Look what soft, lovy dovy christians have gotten us here in America. Case in point. Matter of fact, the HARSHER the environment, the more Christians thrive. The softer environment, the more apostasy breeds. This is explained perfectly in Revelation 3:14-19. Pay SPECIAL attention to verse 19:

19: As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
You are Christian? Then be "Christ" "like".

1 TIMOTHY 5:20
"Them that sin REBUKE before all, that others also may fear. "

And calling into QUESTION the words of GOD.....is SIN. ↑↑↑ Now fear.

It should be noted that Elohim is plural as well. So mankind was made in the image of "God" or "gods"

Elohim can be used in a plural or singular sense, Elohim is equivalent to God or gods, the distinction comes from the context of the word.....

Genesis 1:1, In Hebrew, literally reads: "In a beginning created by the Elohim were the heavens and the earth"

the Elohim, known to the Jews and Christians as YHVH, God....

Here's an example of it being used in a plural sense,
Exodus 20:3 "Thou shalt have no other gods before me."
can more accurately be rendered
"You shall not come to have other elohim in preference to Me."

See what I mean?

Not gonna add much more except to say,

It's a good thing people didn't stay in that "unquestioning" mindset,

Or we'd probably be crappin outside still, and we DEFINITELY would not have this wonderful internet and computer we are using to transmit this message to eachother.....

Anyways, I got to go get back to sinning my brains out by studying the Hebrew and Greek manuscripts and searching for Truth.....

Westminster Leningrad Codex,

Textus Receptus,

They were translating back in 1611 with a very limited knowledge of the world around them, and some antiquated theological ideas as well......
