India ready to test fire 5500km+ ICBM called Agni 5

This is one of the most advanced ballistic missile in India's arsenal. Capable of hitting 70% of eastern Europe including Germany and Sweden. The only place it cannot go is the North and South America.

Salient features:

* 1500 kg Max Payload.
* 5500 km range with max payload of 1500 kg, range increases with decrease in payload (Small nuclear devices weight 50kg)
* MIRV warheads. Can hold upto 10 different warheads and each can target a different city 1000km apart.
* Can be modified to take out Satellites in orbit.
* Canister launch missile, so can be launched from road, rail, silos or submarines of which India has 1 and 2 more on order.

Yup after all the North Korea problem, we hear practically nothing of this!

Nope, this is the China oriented missiles, and on a sub can hit anywhere in the world. And guess what the aid will be stopped soon, anyways it was being used for other things, no building schools and hospitals anyways.

This is the 4th missile in the Agni series which is part of the ballistic missile family which includes Agni Series, Pritvi, Dhanush, Surya, Shaurya, and Sagarika

Most of these are either operational or at advanced stages of testing.

Thats the reason India is developing these launch vehicles to deliver nukes. Yea in a conventional war China can occupy India, can nukes changes the wholegame, no winners at the end. But works great as a deterrent.

I have the exact same sentiments. I don't know WHY people are all for nuclear bombs and war. Do they think that they will be untouchable when one is dropped on them?!

Do people not realize that if we had a nuclear war it will affect the entire planet not just one area....I'm also talking full on nuclear war that so many disturbingly on here want to see happen.

I think that once you develop such weapons all aid should stop. If you end up needing aid and have such weapons they should be gotten rid of before aid is given.

I don`t care what the cause of needing the aid is as well meaning Natural disaster or manmade. Aid should also be handled by someone other then the country receiving it making sure it gets where it should and aid should never be Money.

There should be no exceptions to this as well no matter how hated or liked the country is. But at the same time the UN should also be that weapon stopping any hostile actions being taken on a country in need.

Nope not gonna happen. I had a dream in which it was 2013 and I was sitting in front of the computer streaming illegal porn in the middle of Europe, where I live. So atleast till 2013 we are all safe.

My guess is nothing has been said to India because unlike North Korea, India has not constantly threatened it's neighbor or anyone else with total annihilation with nuclear weapons and invasion. Just my guess.

As India turns more and more into a power to be reckoned with economically, they also are showing the world they are no light-weight in the nuclear arena...

I see this more as a leveling of the nuclear playing field.

We all have our nightmares but there is only one and I mean one country that right at this moment dominates the world and will do anything to maintain this leverage.
