I have said this many times and I will say it once more. In the days surrounding this event any and all security will be under direct supervision of the Secret Service. This event is classified as a NSSE or National Special Security Event.

The Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security designates events of national significance as NSSE based on factors including, but not limited to: anticipated attendance by U.S. officials and foreign dignitaries; the size of the event; and the significance of the event. By statute, the United States Secret Service (USSS) is designated as the lead federal agency for planning, coordinating, and implementing security operations at NSSE. Everyone has the right to speak and assemble peacefully. Unfortunately, for those people who wish to do so, there are more people who have nefarious intentions that often lead to trouble. One need only look as far as Europe to see that. Many here in the US see this event in Chicago as an opportunity to have their own "European Moment" here in the states. When the start to raise a ruckus, anyone caught in the cross hairs is fair game. That's just how it works when the situation gets ugly.

There is more going on behind the scenes than you may know.

It is not about having a 'European moment', it IS about the right to assemble, and protest

Yes there are those with nefarious intentions, namely the US government and NATO and people have the right to protest... you cannot let it pass, how on earth are you willing to give up right to protest in the United States of America?

What are you going to do just allow the government to steamroll over you and the constitution?

What did all those men and women die for anyway? Nothing?

But only in the area and zones where they ALLOW you to do so. You know the ones with barricades, police lines and kettling opportunities for the LEO's...just in case they don't like that "peaceful" message.

So is this a right? Or just permission?
