Google Founder: Web freedom under threat

It's already happening in the USA. I own a national ranking website that advertises for a certain keyword that is deemed "not allowed" by Google Ad Words. This happened early last year. When Google released it's most recent Panda 3.3 update, the focus was to eliminate any website that ranks nationally and to push up local sites. This sounds fine and dandy, except, since Feb. 27th 2012, our Internet marketing team has noticed that the keywords we use to rank on page 1, are now not showing up in Google Insights as "rising searches" for the past 30 days. Our website went from PR 1, position #3 to PR 100 overnight due to this one keyword (and it's not offensive, unethical in any way).

Are you kidding me? Google was one of the first big E-corporations that jumped on the SOPA train. How can you possibly expect anything that they say to be anything other than fear mongering? How the dialogue is advanced is under the understanding that we are affected by our emotions, not by facts. Think about that for a second.

Think that the voice of wording for the title is an accident? Please. That's what they rather have you believe, that you have "web freedom" since of what is actually happening, which is ensuing web censorship. Meanwhile, the fees for the internet continue to rise while bandwidth stays the same. (I'm speaking for myself at least. Used to be 19.99, then 21.99, then 23.99, and now it's 26.99!)

Be careful with these guys, because they may knowingly or unknowingly be slipping certain things into your mind and vocabulary that further their agenda while destroying yours. Another example, again, very simple but very effective: "Privacy policy"? Oh really? Is that what you call it when you store and sell information? More like a "Personal Information Selling / Violation Policy", but that wouldn't sound good, so we'll just call it something they'd rather believe in. And this terminology they chose is used over and over any time the subject comes up. They automatically are defended just by the wording of it.

You took the words right out of my mouth. I mean this is actually very funny, Google complaining about lack of privacy and censorship when they are one of the biggest commercial entities doing the same!

If anyone has ever seen the movie One Hour Photo with Robin Williams the attempt by employers to force applicants to give them access to their Facebook account puts me in mind of how Sy was in the movie.

Sy becomes crazed the more and more he develops the pictures that he sees on a daily basis. Lives that he sees that are full of enjoyment, something that his life does not have. Sy methodically learns the peoples personality traits in the picture and learns to become the people in the images in order to try and make himself like they are happy and complete. But his sociopathic nature leads him to become crazed and eventually his own death.

Employers who want applicants passwords are doing the same thing as Sy in the movie. They want to learn the personality traits of possible applicants so they can "steal" the persons personalities to become the person they see in Facebook. Once the persons personality traits have been learned the employer would then mimick the applicant to create a clone of the person they have targeted. These people think that by acting like others that they are actually projecting an image of the person they are mimicking around them and that other people actually see them as the person they are trying to project.

These types of employers are sociopaths because they want to be someone else that they are not and they think by acting like the person that they can become the person.

These types of employers are sociopaths because once they have the password to your Facebook account they will know where you are at at every moment and will know who you are talking to at every moment and will try and disenfranchise you from those that you blog to on Facebook because they are not interesting enough to have friends on Facebook.
