Pictures of Eyes: The Windows to the Soul

I have long been fascinated by eyes. Obsessed, even. Men, women, animals, whatever. There is nothing on the body anywhere near as expressive and the old cliché that eyes are a “window to the soul” is true for a reason.

There are a lot of great pics out there of people and their eyes, so I’m opening a thread to collect any pics people might have along these lines. Being a red-blooded male, I tend to enjoy the eyes of women, but this thread is open to all pictures of eyes: male and female, human and non-human, animated and photographs, drawings and other works of art, whatever. So that this does not devolve into a “post pics of hot chyx” thread, the only rule is head shots only, preferably as close to the eyes as possible.

If I said "just eyes and no face" that would restrict the scope of thread too much. There aren't that many pics of just eyes without face, and I don't expect people to be taking the time to crop and photoshop pics, nor do I want to be mucking about with that myself. Restricting it away from body shots seems fair enough, IMHO. Plus, sometimes a wider face shot gives much-needed context for a pair of eyes.

I'm not trying to run the Taliban here, you know.

And if you "think you would rather see" something, why not contriubute it yourself?
