WHAT HAPPENS TO A PERSON’S BODY WHEN THEY DRINK A COKE

In The First 10 minutes: 10 teaspoons of sugar hit your system. (100% of your recommended daily intake.) You don’t immediately vomit from the overwhelming sweetness because phosphoric acid cuts the flavor allowing you to keep it down.

20 minutes: Your blood sugar spikes, causing an insulin burst. Your liver responds to this by turning any sugar it can get its hands on into fat. (There’s plenty of that at this particular moment)

A simple google search will uncover the harmful and health hazards of drinking Coke. It is the best selling soda brand with many flavors on the shelf, as well as many partnering drinks. Coke owns so many products, that they have to list them in Alphabetical order on their site. Check it out:

Coke Products

I live with someone who quit smoking ciggarettes and took up Diet Coke. As i feel this is "better", i can see how it effects this person daily. Whenever she is stressed, i hear a coke open. Mad, coke. Happy, coke. Home from work? Coke. 4-5 soda's minimum a day, and even when i shared this type of scary info with her....total denial! No star and flag.

Its hard to change some people.....but that doesnt mean we shouldnt try. Read labels and drink responsibly.

Wow,it doesn`t sound much better than the early days...

When launched, Coca-Cola's two key ingredients were coc aine and caffeine. The coc aine was derived from the coca leaf and the caffeine from kola nut, leading to the name Coca-Cola (the "K" in Kola was replaced with a "C" for marketing purposes).[26][27]

Coca — coc aine

Pemberton called for five ounces of coca leaf per gallon of syrup, a significant dose; in 1891, Candler claimed his formula (altered extensively from Pemberton's original) contained only a tenth of this amount. Coca-Cola once contained an estimated nine milligrams of coc aine per glass. In 1903 it was removed.[28]

After 1904, instead of using fresh leaves, Coca-Cola started using "spent" leaves — the leftovers of the coc aine-extraction process with trace levels of coc aine.[29] Coca-Cola now uses a coc aine-free coca leaf extract prepared at a Stepan Company plant in Maywood, New Jersey.

That awkward moment when I read this mid-sip of my Coke.

If Coke doesn't kill you, something else will. In excess it can be detrimental in the long term.

With all the recent news about the toxic effects of humans eating large amounts of sugar - something very recent in human history I would guess - the only reason it isn't being regulated and kept away from children is probably money, money up and down the corporate structure. It's the same with the many brands of cough syrups - which has been proven not to work - sugar makes its ugly way into our mouths once again. and again. and again. Ummmmmm, cookies.

When I was just knee-high to a grasshopper, my dad showed me how to take road tar off the bottom of the car doors and bumpers with a tooth brush and...Coca-Cola.

'nuff said.

Do I still drink it? Absolutely.

Peace

You know what else is bad for you?

Whiskey, beer, cigarettes, red meat, large amounts of carbohydrates, Red Bull, and actual coc aine.

Doesn't mean I'd turn any of them down

It has been posted before. ATS coke drinkers that were not convinced all the other times it has been posted probably wont be convinced this time either, why? Because it is BS.

A little sugar may bring some joy to the life of someone who cannot afford an ocean cruiser. What else do you want to take away? Big Brother 1984 may be some truth to that after all.

Tell us what to wear, what to eat, what to drink.

Future conversation:

Well i managed to scrape up $12.00 Think i will buy a steak.

You will not. That steak will kill you. I am calling the authorities. They will whip that steak right out of you...but look on the bright side, you may live 12 minutes longer to stare at the cold four walls.

Boy, that's better advertising than you get on TV. I think I'm going to actually go down and get a coke out of the fridge. You make it sound so good with all that evidence you are showing, I need a quick fix to stay up for a few more hours. Thanks for the info.

People need to remember why we eat. Even my kids know to think about something before they put it in their mouth. We eat primarily for sustenance. If you are putting something inside of you, it should serve a purpose. If it is only for pleasure, be sure you are putting it in the right place!

Seriously, too many people eat out of boredom, comfort, convenience, or just habit. Too many people pop just anything into their mouths, without having given it any thought as to why they did it.

5 weeks ago I cut out all white sugar and white flour. I occasionally use some Tupelo Honey, or I might eat a banana or an apple, but little sugars, no processed sugars, no processed flours. I drink mostly water, with an occasional black coffee or bitter tea.

In 5 weeks, I have lost 15 pounds, I am sleeping much better at night, waking up refreshed, and having more energy throughout the day. It was a little weird at first, but now it is effortless. I don't eat something, unless I know the content of it. I am striving for a 40/40/20 % mix of my protein/carb/fat calories, and making sure none of the carbs are simple carbs. Any meat I eat must be fresh, no processed or prepackaged pink slime.

Honestly, I can't believe anyone still drinks cokes, or eats frozen mcmeats. Anyone that reads ATS should be afraid to shop at a bigbox grocery store. You can't trust anything these days.

Did you know that orange juice has close to the same amount of sugar as soda?

Orange juice is loaded, and I mean LOADED, with sugar. One serving of OJ (an 8-ounce glass) contains 22 grams of sugar. By comparison, 8-ounces of Dr. Pepper (pick your pop) contains 27grams of sugar. Pretty close right? Would you ever let your kid suck down a soda at breakfast? Would soda ever make your healthy drink list? In terms of sugar, Orange Juice and soda must be looked at as one and the same.

athleticmindedtraveler.com...

A lot needs to be said for moderation too.

If you drink 2 glasses of orange juice it puts you right around, or maybe even a little higher, than a can of soda. I dont drink soda myself so i am not advocating one or another.

My only problem with the story is it say coke by name. It is a targeted ad at coke. When Pepsi RC Cola and just about any other soda would have the same effect because they have those same chemicals. So if it is a targeted ad at a brand it would be considered propaganda targeting of coke. So what else in the story is propaganda? You can't deny that the ad is clearly targeting one brand when a whole list of its competitors brand have the same chemicals. So when you agree to that you agree there is propaganda in the story from the start. Now you can look for the rest of the propaganda if you want to do the research but they put the idea in your subconscious already coke is bad drink pepsi. You can say it is not propaganda its advertising but what is advertising if its not propaganda?

Actually Heroin works by mimicking your bodes own natural indigenous opiate system. Otherwise known as endorphins. Cocaine works more on neurotransmitters called dopamine and serotonin. completely unrelated
