On Maimonides....

One of the greatest Hebrew sages in history.

This "greatest hebrew sage" also called punctuated Jesus' name with "may his bones to be ground to dust".
Just saying.

Read "greatest' as "most venerated amongst Jewish rabbis."

A direct experience of God Almighty can turn the hardest heart, the most skeptical atheist, the most militant atheist,

into a Bible thumping, God loving, God fearing man.

I know this firsthand.

Because I was one,

and I am one now,

Amen

Yes sir, 1 revelation of Jesus Christ and it's over with.

Thousands of Muslims are reporting, (anonymously of course), that He is appearing to them too.

Why didn't it turn you into a Qur'an thumping Mohammad loving muslim? Is it because you aren't brought up in a muslim country?

Because Muhammad didn't appear to him?

Just a guess, in fact see my post above. Jesus is appearing to Muslims in droves.

Well I got only 1 wrong but to be honest their answer was completely incorrect, which was surprising.

Mohammed was a false prophet, the entire Quran is completely theologically wrong, and look at how many muslims are converted by visions and dreams of Jesus appearing, and they realize that Jesus is greater than Mohammed, and in fact Jesus is one and the same with Allah!

Praise Him!
Wait a second....the Quran, who teaches about Allah, is completely theologically wrong, but Jesus is the same as Allah??

Impossible.
Did you see where he was defeated in court?

Hey, just like Joseph Smith!

Besides, it's not like they don't believe in Jesus. They just don't believe in him like you do.

Maybe he will appear to me. That would be cool. But of course, the bible says, "Blessed are those who believe without seeing." So, I take it these Muslims aren't blessed.
I actually don't care to be blessed, just let me meet him if he's real and a god.

Allah is the arab rendering of God

Many arab Christians use the word Allah in place of God,

Although the Allah the muslims worship,is a false Allah

Ohhhhhhhhhh. I wonder why they haven't figured it out? They clearly love and want to follow the true god. Many have died in vain.

Thanks for the thread!

Fun little quiz, but frankly they could've made it a bit harder. The only one that made me think for a bit was about the "great awakening".

("Pictures or it didn't happen.")

To be honest I don't consider myself all that knowledgeable on the subject, but after spending time with people of various faiths you tend to pick up some information from them. Ditto if you've travelled around a bit as I have.

I'm not an atheist, though.

EDIT to add: and by the way, DarkKnight2, when you make a statement like the following...

I'd certainly love to see the results from some of the know-it-all high horsers round these parts... of any religion or non-religion really.

...it might be taken the wrong way.
I'm no know-it-all and have never claimed to be, and have had more experience with falling off horses than riding high on them.
So perhaps I shouldn't have posted.

Regards,

Mike

Retaining trivial knowledge has nothing to do with real intelligence.

If I named every world leader in the last 300 years, for example, it wouldn't make me smart, just a sponge.

Because, they've been deceived,

I have faith that many Muslims have a close relationship with God and live loving and righteous and devout lives, and when they die Christ has mercy and accepts them into His loving arms and shows them what Paradise really is,

Unfortunately, not all Muslims are peaceful and loving (neither are Christians, or any human for that matter), and some are actually really, really vile (jihadist extremists, taliban, hezbollah, etc), and the Quran and Islam seems to breed these hate-filled extremists (not like Christian extremists who will peacefully preach and maybe go overboard and tell people theyll goto hell, but most Christian fundies don't go around lopping off infidels heads), but there is a pretty large number of Muslim extremists who have no problem with chopping off heads with dull blades or stoning people to death in public.....

Again, it's not there fault, they've just been deceived, and bought into it, and end up with some very, very twisted views of the world (believing flying a plane into a building and killing infidels will get them a special place in heaven, etc)

Thank you for the advice. I was wondering what that pressure in my head was that built up after all that reading into theoretical astrophysics. Saved me a Scanners moment. For me, nothing but Jersey Shore and MTV from now on!

Haha yes, with heavy emphasis on the "of any religion or non-religion" part. I understand my words will rub people the wrong way sometimes, I'm OK with that. There is a lot of ignorance to be denied and in large part my statement was geared towards those who presume that calling others blind somehow gives them vision.
