She has an excellent point. How can a woman whom has never had to deal with the real economics of say a "single mom" possibly understand what moms go through on an economic level??? And even if you take her statement as the holy truth, I still don't understand how a "stay at home" mom married to a wealthy man can possibly understand the economics of this world.

Yeah, I guess stay at home moms don't have to shop for food or budget household finances.

They should just have supper ready when REAL people who WORK come home.

Well let's face it, being the wife of a multi millionaire has its economic benefits over a stay at home mom who's husband is making $8 an hour.

And in more fairness, we should study Hilary Rosen as well.

She herself appears to be an elitist businesswoman !!

Hilary Beth Rosen is a partner in the political communications firm, SKDKnickerbocker with offices in DC and New York and LGBT activist. Prior to joining SKDK, she was the managing partner of the DC office of the Brunswick Group, a London based PR and communications strategy firm. She joined Brunswick in December 2008. She was formerly Washington Editor at Large for The Huffington Post and was the online site's Political Director during the 2008 election. She was with the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) from 1987 to 2003 and served first as President and then chairman and chief executive from 1994 to 2003. And she was President of a start up website, OurChart.com from 2006 to 2008.
Hilary Rosen

By saying on that Ann Romney has “never worked a day in her life,” Democratic strategist Hilary Rosen created a firestorm on Twitter and, once again in her career, found herself in the middle of controversy. POLITICO has compiled 10 things you might not have known about Rosen:

1. Resigned as head of the Recording Industry Association of America in 2003, to spend more time with her family — her then-partner, Elizabeth Birch, and their adopted twins, Jacob and Anna. (Rosen and Birch separated in 2006.)

10 things about Hilary Rosen

Anything Strange or Ironic or Hypocritical or Odd with Ms. Rosen ??

Hmmm...........................

Even though she is an openly lesbian woman, it should be noted she took time off to raise kids she and her girlfriend adopted... She was then out of touch with things and whatnot... bla bla bla.

Being at the White House 36 times since Obama has been elected-4 of those times was to personally see The Obama..himself. Most times w/ Valerie Jarrett-Obama's Chief Advisor....

She is so full of stuff, her eyes are floating....

But, hey, thanks for Kicking the Door open and exposing the Elitism of the Democratic Party. In the mean time, I will go get her quote from what she said about Mrs. Obama back in 2008..... Again, crazy B....

You might have a point if Ann Romney had a career. Hillary Rosen is a working mom and on an exponentially lower payscale....

That said, I will be grateful when this blows over. Mrs. Rosen was out of line and families should be left out of the nonsense. Mrs. Rosen deserves to get kicked around a little for this...she is in PR after all and should know better.

And with even more fairness in mind, let's take a look at Ann Romney.

Read this real close Ms. Rosen !!! You vermin scumbag, and then tell us some more about family values.

Ann was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1998 and has credited a mixture of mainstream and alternative treatments with giving her a lifestyle mostly without limitations. In one of those activities, equestrianism, she has consequently received recognition in dressage as an adult amateur at the national level and competing professionally in Grand Prix as well. In 2008, she was also diagnosed with ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), a non-invasive type of breast cancer. She underwent a lumpectomy in December of the same year and has since been cancer-free.

She and husband Mitt have five children, born between 1970 and 1981.
Ann Romney

Anything else, Ms Rosen ?? You dirtball.

ETA: Hilary Rosen is Garbage ... pure vermin.

Absolutely Perfect for the Obama den of iniquity

I guess Rosen has apologised to Mrs. Romney.

Thoughts?

Shame on Ann Romney.

It would have been much better for her to take advantage of her husbands career and accepted a bogus Hospital administration job paying $300,000 a year like Michelle Obama did.

MS affects the ability of nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord to communicate with each other effectively. Nerve cells communicate by sending electrical signals called action potentials down long fibers called axons, which are contained within an insulating substance called myelin. In MS, the body's own immune system attacks and damages the myelin. When myelin is lost, the axons can no longer effectively conduct signals.[4] The name multiple sclerosis refers to scars (scleroses—better known as plaques or lesions) particularly in the white matter of the brain and spinal cord, which is mainly composed of myelin.[3] Although much is known about the mechanisms involved in the disease process, the cause remains unknown. Theories include genetics or infections. Different environmental risk factors have also been found.

really!!!! i can't remember the last time that republicans HAVE NOT went after a democratic presidents wife. you guys can dish it out but you can't take it...and by the way, besides from a few pundits....most democrats do not even think that way, as i'm sure most sane republicans do not think that way of democratic spouses.

And of course we now see a flurry scurry by the rats fleeing the sinking ship !!

The Obama campaign would have us believe that last night on CNN Obama advisor and frequent White House guest, Hilary Rosen, spoke out of turn with her indefensible attack on Ann Romney and every woman who chooses to stay home and raise her family. But in a speech last Friday at “The White House Forum on Women and the Economy,” President Obama seemed to be laying the groundwork for exactly this attack.
Video: Obama Lays Groundwork for Rosen's Attack on Ann Romney

Hilary Rosen won’t back down from her absurd statements yesterday on CNN, in which she essentially said that Ann Romney couldn’t be a good spokesperson for women because she was a stay-at-home mom. Now, she’s taken to CNN.com to make her case in print.
Rosen Doubles Down: Ann Romney No ‘Expert’ On Women

Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who earned her paycheck over the last several weeks by repeating the “Republican War on Women” meme, has now thrown Hilary Rosen under the bus via Twitter:
DNC Debbie Runs from Rosen

The blowback from Democrat strategist Hilary Rosen's remarks against stay-at-home moms reached a fever pitch this morning, kicking the Obama campaign into massive damage control mode. Last night David Axelrod and Jim Messina threw Rosen under the bus--and this afternoon Michelle Obama joined them.

Whaa. The political season is in full swing and democrats fight dirty. They lie, tell half-truths then when it's done to them, they soil themselves on all the talk shows.

Palin sure got a fair deal
. Her husband Todd got a far deal
, her children sure got a fair deal
so while you and your ilk are sitting in your ivory tower hurtling insults. . . . . .

Lets just avoid the useless back and forth of examples of democrats fighting dirty countered by republicans saying similar things.

Making a policy point against a spouse?
Fair game.

Insults about whether she works or not?
You'll get what you deserve.

And here are a couple of blasts from the pasts:

The first appearance by a sitting president on "The Tonight Show" may well end up being the last.

President Obama, in his taping with Jay Leno Thursday afternoon, attempted to yuk it up with the funnyman, and ended up insulting the disabled.

May 19, 2008

Sen. Barack Obama ripped into a Republican ad today that targets comments made by his wife, Michelle, and called the GOP tactic "low class" and "detestable."

The Illinois senator told "Good Morning America" that he expects hardball tactics from the Republicans if he becomes the Democratic presidential nominee.

"But I also think these folks should lay off my wife," he told "GMA" as his wife chuckled beside him.
Obama Warns GOP "Lay Off My Wife"

In the Democrats' latest fundraising bid, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi on Wednesday accused Republicans of waging a "war on women."

The California Democrat is hoping the GOP's high-profile opposition to President Obama's birth-control mandate will alienate women and independent voters — and lure campaign cash to the Democrats' coffers.

The spin on this is totally inaccurate. She wasn't talking about her being a homemaker. She was talking about her being RICH, RICH, RICH. She was talking about how out of touch Romney and his wife are regarding the tough economic issues facing the "unwashed masses".

This is not a "war on Moms" at all. If your thread title was "War on the Rich", that would be a little more accurate, although I don't think it's a war to state a fact. When you have spent your whole life extremely wealthy, you can't possibly know first hand what it's like to struggle financially. So, Romney stating that he listens to what his wife tells him are the big issues for mainstream America - is a joke.

You too ..... read this First:

maybe it's a war on the disabled too !!!!

She was diagnosed with MS at the age of 50? And rides horses and donates money....not to be callous, but factually it would still be hard to claim she is or ever was a working mother...again I think it is an issue that does not belong in public discourse and Rosen deserves the knocks, but to cast her as a working mom molests reality. She has never held professional employment is worth a quarter billion dollars and has 4 mansions that we know of.

Again.

Who cares how much money that she has?

Really.

With Obama it's the race card.

With Romney. . .

It's Mastercard.

No...The right wing owns that territory...Nice that Ann Romney can afford the most elite medical care available for her condition, whilst her husband chants the "pay-up or die" philosophy.

But just because one party lacks any morals doesn't mean the other is excused. Rosen was out of line and the White House, the DNC and the Obama Campaign has all said the same. THAT is the difference.
