She has an excellent point. How can a woman whom has never had to deal with the real economics of say a "single mom" possibly understand what moms go through on an economic level??? And even if you take her statement as the holy truth, I still don't understand how a "stay at home" mom married to a wealthy man can possibly understand the economics of this world.
Yeah, I guess stay at home moms don't have to shop for food or budget household finances.
They should just have supper ready when REAL people who WORK come home.

Hilary Rosen
By saying on that Ann Romney has “never worked a day in her life,” Democratic strategist Hilary Rosen created a firestorm on Twitter and, once again in her career, found herself in the middle of controversy. POLITICO has compiled 10 things you might not have known about Rosen:
1. Resigned as head of the Recording Industry Association of America in 2003, to spend more time with her family — her then-partner, Elizabeth Birch, and their adopted twins, Jacob and Anna. (Rosen and Birch separated in 2006.)

And in more fairness, we should study Hilary Rosen as well.
She herself appears to be an elitist businesswoman !!
Ann was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1998 and has credited a mixture of mainstream and alternative treatments with giving her a lifestyle mostly without limitations. In one of those activities, equestrianism, she has consequently received recognition in dressage as an adult amateur at the national level and competing professionally in Grand Prix as well. In 2008, she was also diagnosed with ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), a non-invasive type of breast cancer. She underwent a lumpectomy in December of the same year and has since been cancer-free.
She and husband Mitt have five children, born between 1970 and 1981.

There is Romney's problem
He's just another spineless shill
MS affects the ability of nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord to communicate with each other effectively. Nerve cells communicate by sending electrical signals called action potentials down long fibers called axons, which are contained within an insulating substance called myelin. In MS, the body's own immune system attacks and damages the myelin. When myelin is lost, the axons can no longer effectively conduct signals.[4] The name multiple sclerosis refers to scars (scleroses—better known as plaques or lesions) particularly in the white matter of the brain and spinal cord, which is mainly composed of myelin.[3] Although much is known about the mechanisms involved in the disease process, the cause remains unknown. Theories include genetics or infections. Different environmental risk factors have also been found.

You might have a point if Ann Romney had a career. Hillary Rosen is a working mom and on an exponentially lower payscale....

The Obama campaign would have us believe that last night on CNN Obama advisor and frequent White House guest, Hilary Rosen, spoke out of turn with her indefensible attack on Ann Romney and every woman who chooses to stay home and raise her family. But in a speech last Friday at “The White House Forum on Women and the Economy,” President Obama seemed to be laying the groundwork for exactly this attack.
Video: Obama Lays Groundwork for Rosen's Attack on Ann Romney
Hilary Rosen won’t back down from her absurd statements yesterday on CNN, in which she essentially said that Ann Romney couldn’t be a good spokesperson for women because she was a stay-at-home mom. Now, she’s taken to CNN.com to make her case in print.
Rosen Doubles Down: Ann Romney No ‘Expert’ On Women
Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who earned her paycheck over the last several weeks by repeating the “Republican War on Women” meme, has now thrown Hilary Rosen under the bus via Twitter:
DNC Debbie Runs from Rosen
The blowback from Democrat strategist Hilary Rosen's remarks against stay-at-home moms reached a fever pitch this morning, kicking the Obama campaign into massive damage control mode. Last night David Axelrod and Jim Messina threw Rosen under the bus--and this afternoon Michelle Obama joined them.

The first appearance by a sitting president on "The Tonight Show" may well end up being the last.
President Obama, in his taping with Jay Leno Thursday afternoon, attempted to yuk it up with the funnyman, and ended up insulting the disabled.

Sen. Barack Obama ripped into a Republican ad today that targets comments made by his wife, Michelle, and called the GOP tactic "low class" and "detestable."
The Illinois senator told "Good Morning America" that he expects hardball tactics from the Republicans if he becomes the Democratic presidential nominee.
"But I also think these folks should lay off my wife," he told "GMA" as his wife chuckled beside him.
Obama Warns GOP "Lay Off My Wife"
In the Democrats' latest fundraising bid, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi on Wednesday accused Republicans of waging a "war on women."
The California Democrat is hoping the GOP's high-profile opposition to President Obama's birth-control mandate will alienate women and independent voters — and lure campaign cash to the Democrats' coffers.

The spin on this is totally inaccurate. She wasn't talking about her being a homemaker. She was talking about her being RICH, RICH, RICH. She was talking about how out of touch Romney and his wife are regarding the tough economic issues facing the "unwashed masses".
This is not a "war on Moms" at all. If your thread title was "War on the Rich", that would be a little more accurate, although I don't think it's a war to state a fact. When you have spent your whole life extremely wealthy, you can't possibly know first hand what it's like to struggle financially. So, Romney stating that he listens to what his wife tells him are the big issues for mainstream America - is a joke.

No...The right wing owns that territory...Nice that Ann Romney can afford the most elite medical care available for her condition, whilst her husband chants the "pay-up or die" philosophy.
